From the time Chris picked us up until he dropped us off, this trip was worth every bit. We learned so much about the author’s history, the lay of the land and how very special all of it was on this tour. Words cannot describe the journey. Chris’s knowledge of Alf Wight AKA James Herriot and all he encompasses bought the whole trip to life more than we ever expected. Not to mention the stress we left behind of not having to drive this ourselves. We never would have covered as much of the Yorkshire Dales nor been able to enjoy every moment. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Chris and Viator for the best highlight of our holiday!

We had an excellent day in the Dales with our guide Chris. He was friendly, answered all our questions and was willing to stop for photos. The weather was fantastic too. The James Herriot Museum was very interesting and we ate delicious fish and chips at “The Drovers”. We saw pretty little villages and about a million sheep. Beautiful scenery.
