Discovered during the construction of the Eleonas Metro Station, the remnants of the bridge include three surviving piers, indicating a structure with at least five arches. 5.00I wrote to Perikles before my trip. I explained that I'm a spiritual practitioner with a connection to Eleusis and was seeking a guide who could hold space and honor this journey. Yes, I wanted someone with good historical knowledge, but there needed to be more...there needed to be a depth of spiritual understanding, as well. My request was responded to with genuine kindness and an expression of understanding my needs. I was paired with Makis and could not have been blessed with a better companion for my journey. He was 100% professional and did all the things a guide would normally do and more (arrived promptly at the port holding a sign, taught me the history, drove safely, was patient at stops, had water available...he even carried my bags and opened my door at every stop), but he also felt like an old friend. Makis was exactly what I needed in someone accompanying me on such a journey. Makis GETS it. I can't imagine going with another guide. I cannot wait to return so I can go with him to Delphi!

5.00Incredible tour and amazing tour-guide. Dimitrios gave us all the background we needed while we fulfilled a dream tour for Eleusis! What a special place Eleusis is.. and I believe (and Dimitrios agrees) that this tour will only become more popular as people read and learn more of the pre-Christian mystery religious of Ancient Greece. We feel privileged to have done this tour when the site is still very quiet and unbothered. Cannot recommend this tour or Dimitrios enough!

4.00Interesting tour with stops along the way to piece together the myths and findings about The Sacred Way. We appreciated our guide’s stories, and how he explained pronunciations, timelines, myths and facts. That along with a podcast, street side placards, and museum stops - we gained a far greater understanding than had we tried to explore on our own. If you are at all interested in the Eleusis Mysteries, this is a nice hassle free way to do it.

5.00This morning we were picked up exactly on time at our hotel by Dimitrios, and set out on our private tour of the Sacred Way for the Eleuisinian Mysteries Tour. It was absolutely wonderful, and our guide was well prepared to lead us along the different stops of the initiates. We learned so much along the way about mythology and the ancient religion still practiced in Greece! Dimitrios was kind, funny and very professional, and he went out of his way to make sure I was accommodated… I had sprained my ankle a week ago. Highly recommend this tour, and if you can get Dimitrios, you'll be better for it!
