Take a private tour to two monumental UNESCO World Heritage Sites located near Beijing: the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu and Ming Tombs. We will take you to the less-crowded Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, which offers superb viewing of historical and architectural features, along with sweeping views of the surroundings. Continue to the Ming Tombs, the royal burial complex for the emperors of the Ming Dynasty, and visit either the Sacred Way, Chang Ling Tomb or Ding Ling Tomb during your tour.

What To Expect
Mutianyu Great Wall
We will pick you up from your Beijing hotel, It takes 1.5 hours to the Wall from Beijing downtown. The Great Wall at Mutianyu is a little further from Beijing than the most popular section at Badaling, but it doesn't get as crowded. This section of the Wall is fully restored, there are hand rails to help you up on the very steep parts and the views are spectacular.
Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling)
After the Great Wall, we will visit the Ming Tombs. There are three parts are opened to public, the Sacred Way, Changling Tomb and Dingling Tomb. The Sacred Way is the first attraction of Ming Tombs,which is a main way leading to the thirteen imperial tombs inside the scenic area. The two lines of stone lifelike sculptures (12 beasts and 6 officials) on both sides are the highlight of the Sacred Way which are quite popular with visitors. Among the Ming Tombs,Changling is the largest, earliest and most magnificent with best preserved found constructions. Dingling is the only one that the underground palace was excavated. You will visit one of them based on your interests. After finishing your trip to Great Wall and the Ming Tombs, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

5.00Awesome day! Our guide’s (Joe) proposal to change the order of the visit let us enjoy Ming’s Tumbs area in a more relaxed and quier way, and slide option to get down from the Great Wall was super cool. Be ready for a long time in the car, but hope you had a driver as good as ours

5.00Experiencing the Mutianyu portion of the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs with Lili exceeded our expectations. We would give Lili 10 stars if we could. She was so knowledgeable, sharing information we would not have known to ask about and answered all our questions. She paced the visit really nicely, taking our needs into consideration (food, drink, toilet plus how much of the wall we preferred to hike and whether to use cable car or chairlift/tobaggan). The best was her recommendation to leave at 6am which saved so much time in traffic and queuing PLUS gave us time at the wall with few other tourists. We also took Lili’s recommendation to visit Dingling tomb and enjoyed this as well. The history Lili shared put the entire experience in context and really made history come alive.
