We did this tour with free time in the cities only- no guided tour. Loved the cities and wine tasting. It is a convenient way to get to these cities without having to deal with public trains and busses. We did have some issues understanding the tour meeting points. Pronounciations differ from spellings. Perhaps the tour company could hand out a paper with the meeting points spelled out.

This was a wonderful addition to our trip to Italy. San Gimignano really is the postcard of Tuscany - the walls are amazing, the architecture is beautiful, the churches are astounding, and the gelato was to die for! Monteriggioni is a small but lovely fortress-town, with scenic views from the walls. The winery we stopped at was a delight - great food, excellent wine, and Simone did an amazing job teaching us about their process. Lastly, we stopped at Siena, which was a joy to visit. The Campos was beautiful, the Palazzo Pubblico and it's small museum was fun, and the walking tour with Lucia was stellar. Getting to learn about the racing, the attempt to build the new cathedral, and the art of the existing cathedral was wonderful. All in all, Sandro was an excellent tour guide to Tuscany, and Sergio did a great job driving us.

Gabriel our tour guide was phenomenal. On our drive he provided us with so much information about Florence. Siena and Monteriggioni. He always has a smile on his face.

Not exactly what we were expecting. We had hoped to learn more about the cities when we were in them but all the cities were basically just free time with shops/cafes. We didn't book the Siena walking tour or the cathedral and ended up just having 3 hours of walking around the city with no recommendations of what to do or what shops/restaurants were recommended. Completely at our fault, we did not realize that this tour was 11+ hours and that's really not how we would have chosen to spend our last day in Florence. I'd also not recommend having any reservations or dinner plans after the tour as, at no fault of the tour, we sat in traffic for over 2 hours at a dead stop because of an accident. We personally would have liked something a bit shorter as there wasn't enough to fill the time if you didn't do the "upgrades". The spot for lunch was cute but the lunch provided wasn't anything special. The wines were pretty good and very affordable if you're looking to take some home or back to where you are staying. I will say, the tour guides were friendly and helpful, and did share some good info, but not really what we'd hoped for. I wouldn't really recommend this for younger couples.

This was a good tour. We had knowledge two tour leaders (Ricardo and Fabrizio) who gave history of the area and did a great job of keeping track of everyone. However, the tour was not 45 people, it was about 90! Maybe they meant max group of 45 per tour leader. Therefore, it was difficult to do any sort of wine tasting with a group so large (it felt like we were served wine instead). The tour was offered in both English and Spanish.
