A lot of running for too long programming for a site that is not worth showing more of the same all the time.

Overall the trip was well organized and the tour guides were knowledgeable and pleasant. Pros: beautiful scenery, good English translation, clear instructions on when/where to meet. This is definitely the trip for you if you want to see as much of Cinque Terre as possible in one day. Cons: We were not happy at the beginning of the day when we purchased coffee at a food truck next to the bus departure and were promptly told we couldn’t take coffee on the bus. There was no warning ahead of time and many members of our group were clearly purchasing coffee to take on the bus. It also wasn’t made clear ahead of time that there would be no opportunity to purchase breakfast on the way. You can buy food at the same food truck and take it on the bus (just not coffee). There was no bathroom on the bus, which was not well air conditioned. We were literally dripping with sweat on the way back and this was after a long day in the heat. Tips: -Here’s more detail about the itinerary: bus stops at Levanto, train from Levanto to Riomaggiore, train to Manarola, train to Monterosso, boat to Vernazza, train to Levanto. Pull up “Cinque Terre train” in Google to get an idea of how this itinerary looks on a map. -Packing in 4 towns on a super hot day felt like too much for my family of four (two teens). Once you have a sense of how to use the train you could hop on and off at your convenience. This is totally doable as long as you return to the bus on time. Then you could spend more time in the towns you enjoy more. Just check with your tour guide before you do so. -The switchbacks were pretty terrifying as you approach Levanto, the town where you’ll catch the train. The bus is double decker and it’s less scary (but hotter) on the lower level. -Use public bathrooms when they’re available. Otherwise you’ll be spending more time purchasing food/drinks just to use bathrooms. -You’ll have about 2 hours in Monterosso and definitely have time to swim at the public beach which I’d recommend during summer. It was SO hot and would have been nice to cool down.

Small family with one young child. We had a great time on this day trip to Cinque Terre. Our guide, Sebastian, helped us navigate through each of the towns on the trains and it was all clear. The explanation of the area, history, and interesting facts. We had fun at the beach in Monterosso. Would highly recommend this tour!
