A very Small-Group tour departing from Milan Central station for the transfer, either by train or by minibus, to Lake Como where we take a short walk in the charming village of Varenna and adjacent area. Afterwards we experience a 15 minutes public ferry boat cruise for another perspective of this landscapes beauty heading first to Bellagio, the "pearl of the Lake" and then to Menaggio (free time for lunch, at your own expense)!
Getting back in our minivan we drive along a panoramic section of the lake shore with spectacular view and after that we explore the nearby off-the-beaten-path region nestled in the breathtaking Alps mountains where sometimes we are able to do a short visit of a small local farmer or producer.
Finally we will drive along another section of the Lake and at some point we take the train for the return to Milan Central station.

From the beginning he created a relaxed atmosphere, took care of every detail, and made the day unfold smoothly. Luca showed us beautiful corners of Lake Como and its surrounding villages, with a great mix of viewpoints, charming streets, and scenic rides. His local stories, clear explanations, and warm personality turned a beautiful tour into a truly unforgettable experience, and this Lake Como day with him was a real highlight of our trip.

5.00We had a wonderful day trip to Lake Como and its surroundings with Luca. He is kind, dedicated, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly — always ready to explain everything about his region and to help us discover hidden gems and places off the beaten path. We first met his partner, Nikko, at Milan Central Station. He guided us to the correct platform and even waited until the train departed to make sure we were safely on our way. After a scenic one-hour train ride, we arrived in Varenna, where Luca was waiting for us. He welcomed us into his van and took us through charming villages such as Varenna, Menaggio, and Bellagio, giving us plenty of time to explore while also sharing the history and stories behind each place. Along the way, he made several photo stops at breathtaking viewpoints — spots we would never have found without his guidance. After a delicious traditional lunch in Bellagio, we continued to a valley famous for its wines and cheeses, where we visited a hidden wine cellar and a local cheese shop. Once again, these were places only a true local like Luca could reveal. To finish the day, we enjoyed a beautiful drive along the opposite side of Lake Como before catching our train back to Milan. Thank you, Luca! We will remember this experience for a lifetime, and we will gladly recommend you to anyone who wants to explore the area with a friendly local guide, perfectly organized and far from the big groups. 5.00This tour was absolutely the highlight of our trip! Unlike other large group tours that visit the most popular sites during the most popular times, this one was very well curated and well-paced. We got to visit the same popular places but always missed the crowds by at least 30 minutes! We rode the ferry, train, visited local areas and shops, tasted delicious local cheese and had plenty of time to stroll around and enjoy beautiful scenic views. It was as if we were experiencing life as a local. Our guide Sylvia was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable and our driver was great too. Highly recommend!!!
Amazing experience at Lake Como especially the personalized touch with Luca was the highlight. Definitely coming back.

5.00Such an amazing experience! Everything was well planned and provided the perfect amount of variety: wander quaint lakeside towns, ferry, shopping, lunch, and the best food shop. I appreciated the small group and thoughtful itinerary that avoided crowds. One of the best things I spent money on my during trip to Italy. Book this experience now!

5.00Great day with Luca! We had Luca as our tour guide and it was a very nice group of 10 people visiting Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio together. Luca is a very nice man who speaks English very well. I would definitely recommend this tour. To get the most out of this tour, try to wear sturdy walking shoes as there are cobblestones in some areas.

5.00Luca’s kind and patient smile, along with his thoughtful explanations, made our day in Como not only full of beautiful scenery but also filled with a sense of warmth and belonging. As we traveled between the islands, everything was perfectly timed — not a single moment wasted — until he personally saw us off on the train back to Milan. His hospitality was truly attentive and heartwarming.

5.00My lifelong friend Trish & I had the most wonderful tour in the Lake Como region with Luca as our guide. Roundtrip train fare from Milan included. Varenna to Belaggio by ferry, ferry to Menaggio for lunch, van ride along the coast with breathtaking views of the Italian Alps to Gravedona for gelato and then a surprise stop at Morbegno for a wine festival. And then for no additional fee an adventure in Italian train travel- WhenLuca delivered us to the Bellano station to head back to Milan, the display showed all trains cancelled. Total confusion. Thank goodness he had walked us inside and not just dropped us off because it turned out there had been a rockslide and no trains were running north of Lecco. But not to worry—Luca came to the rescue! He drove us 30 minutes south to the Lecco station, walked us inside, made sure we all got on the right train, and even stayed on the platform until it pulled out. Now that’s a guide who goes above and beyond! Grazie mille, Luca!
