What To Expect
Avenue of Poseidon (Poseidornos)
On your way towards the Temple of Poseidon, you will have the potentiality to absorb the southern suburbs of Athens, such as Old Faliron, Alimos and Glyfada. It is an undeniable fact that these areas are considered to be the most up-scaled ones of Attica. Moreover, the traveler is given the opportunity to observe coastline of Attica full of private and public marines, shops and cafes.
Limni Vouliagmenis
A short stop for pictures will be made at Vouliagmeni Lake. The lagoon formed about 2,000 years ago. It was once a large cavern that collapsed following an earthquake. The outline of the collapsed cavern roof can be clearly discerned from a distance. The lake has quite unique environmental conditions: it is supplied with warm seawater (28-35ºCelsius) via an underground channel spreading through a network of flooded caves, so its temperature never drops below 18 °C (usually ranges around 21-24 °C), whereas a freshwater spring reduces its salinity to brackish levels (14.5-18 psu). Because of its constant warm water temperature and its rich content in hydrogen sulphide, the lake functions as a spa since the end of the 19th century.

5.00The drive along the coast was beautiful! We had a delicious dinner of Greek salad, fish, and shrimp. Highlight was sunset and our driver, Panos. He was amazing and so nice. We learned so much about Greece. Wonderful time!

Very professional, kind, knowledgeable, great with kids and with an excellent knowledge of music. He was also flexible to accommodate our requests and went out of his way to show us his lovely country.

5.00The beautiful ride along the Athens coastline coupled with the sunset at Poseidon's temple was absolutely breathtaking. The tour was greatly enhanced by Jimmy our driver/guide who was a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to be with. This tour is highly recommended.

5.00A relaxing and beautiful drive along to coast to a few surprise stops and then the Temple of Poseidon. We never got to dinner because I was feeling unwell, but our wonderful driver Tragadis Theofilos, Theo, stopped for the most amazing ice cream on the way back. Theo was a pleasant host and driver, taught us about the history of area and described the beautify of the country beyond Athens...it made us want to come back and explore more of Greece. A wonderful trip. Thank you Theo!

5.00Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! Panos was timely, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. The tour was beautiful - we stopped and so many lovely spots for photos...and the sunset was like no other! On the way back, Panos brought us to a fantastic local fresh seafood restaurant...authentic and delicious!!! What a great way to start off our Greece adventure!!!
