Departing from the beach in Tamarindo, you will enjoy a 4.5-hour sail along Costa Rica's spectacular coastline on one of the purpose built catamarans.  All are open and spacious allowing passengers to comfortably enjoy the blue water views of the Costa Rican coastline with its pristine beaches and verdant jungles.

Enjoy the view with a cold tropical drink, prepared and served by the crew as you scan the seas for dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish or even a breaching whale. You will also be able to snorkel in the bay or run down the deserted white sand beach while the ever helpful crew prepares a feast of chicken, fruit, chips, pico de gallo, guacamole and homemade chocolate chip cookies. It was a nice ride. The customer service was great, and when we couldn’t make our date due to landslides blocking all the roads they let us reschedule to the next day. I do wish we had more time snorkeling/swimming. There was not much to see for snorkeling but I enjoyed swimming a lot. The first hour and a half or so was spent sight seeing, and I wish more would have been time swimming. There is really only about 15-20 minutes to swim until they bring out the food and you then kind of have to choose between having to eat fast or enough time in the water. The drinks were a little weak but really good, as expected with an open bar. The boat was slightly crowded so go early and get a good seat/spot. Overall a really nice experience.

Loved this activity! We got to see whales, and the crew was fantastic. Loved the swim to the secluded beach. Food was delicious as well. Sunset was beautiful.

Be aware that although this trip states that good weather is necessary, they will go out in most any weather. At the time of our trip it was thundering and lightning and pouring down rain and continued to do so for hours and never fully cleared that day. Pay careful attention to weather forecast and cancel at 24 hours out if it looks at all iffy. The company offered us another morning trip instead of a sunset trip but we were already booked with other activities on our trip.

Our family saw whales breach while we sipped Pina Coladas. Then we snorkeled and jumped off the boat into warm tropical water. Next was a delicious buffet before retiring to the last sunset of 2024!

Nice boat and great crew. The water was super choppy, so that was tough for some, but the area we stopped was beautiful, the crew was great, and the food was delicious! And all you can drink!
