  Could not make the day as my partner was sick from the night before. Wish we could have but just not possible. My phone cannot phone locally as Dubai will not allow it with a US device

  The view from the top of the Burj Khalifa was breathtaking. Watch the fountain show from the top was a different experience. Unfortunately it was very busy and took a very long time to get to the top. Maybe get need to manage the number of people per hourly slot so it is a more pleasant experience

  We made the visit at night around 10 pm to avoid too many lines, but climbed to the top with great disappointment we find that from the windows you can see almost nothing because the wind brings sand and with the fall settles on the glass. Huge disappointment. Much better to watch it from the square and see the spectacle of the fountains among other people!

  I booked a time slot of 2 pm so I could “skip the line”. When I arrived the queue was about 200 deep. It took an hour to get to the front of the line and elevators. No seating anywhere during the wait except on the floor even though there was room. Got to the top in only 60 seconds…..amazing views of course. It was akin to a ride in Disneyland….one hour wait for a 5 minute wonder. Tried to find a book in the gift shop on the construction of the tower which I thought people would be interested in but alas….nothing. Just books on Dubai as a city. I somehow feel that the claim to be the tallest building in the world but when you look at it it look just like a big aerial with a bit of office space at the bottom. Anyway I did it and thanks to all who were involved in building it
