When they tell you that “ This is a show by retired wrestlers for entertainment purposes. if you prefer a look into how a modern sumo beya is run you can find that elsewhere in Tokyo”, BELIEVE THEM.! This is NOT an actual sumo show, this is a cross between American “professional” wrestling and a Three Stooges episode. None of it was remotely real, just very hokey “comedy” meant for the youngest of children. Further, the food was room temperature, already out at our seats even though we got there early, and wasn’t very good. At over $200 USD a ticket, we were VERY disappointed - nothing we experienced was worth it. If you want a sumo experience, or even a good meal, go elsewhere!

Very fun experience! It was both educational and fun. Watching my kids do a match against the Sumo pros was hilarious. Good food and drinks as well.
