• Friendly, safe handicapped accessible transportation - Couldn't have been better!

  Great company and service! Contacted 3 other transportation companies for handicapped transportation without any luck. Fortunately reached out to For Handicap Travelers the day before my trip and they were able to accommodate my request. Alberto was fantastic, picked me up at the airport answered all of my questions and was very friendly with great conversations on the drive. I ordered roundtrip airport transportation but also decided to reserve transportation for a dinner with our group. Super happy with the experience and will use them use them next time I'm in Cancun without any hesitation! NOTE: I am a paraplegic in a manual wheelchair. Although I can transfer to some vehicles it can be difficult to find the perfect taxi at an airport (usually big SUVs/Vans that are hard to get into or small vehicles that don't fit my chair and luggage). Having the accessible transportation was extremely convenient and felt safe. The Van has a ramp that comes out and you will be locked in your chair inside with a seatbelt for a safe ride. If preferred you could also transfer to a chair inside. Great option for a an electric wheelchair as well.

  Cancun Accessible picked us up at the airport and took us back for departure. Made everything very simple. My daughter uses a power wheelchair and the van worked well. We had rented a shower/toilet chair also and that arrived at the hotel at the same time we got there. They made is easy. We also used them for a Shopping tour of Cancun and to go to Xcaret. Our driver, Alberto, was great!! So nice!! He was very informative about the area and helped us out finding places to go and to eat. Would definitely recommend them and Alberto!! So wonderful to have this service for wheelchair users. She felt that she could go places without any issues. This is our second time using them on trips to Cancun. Give them a try!!

  Our driver Alberto was very kind since the moment we met outside of the airport. He was very friendly and welcoming. He answered all our questions about the area and recommended a few things we should do next time. He was a great driver/host to our tour in Chichén Itzá, and wouldn’t want to do a tour with anyone else.

  I was so lucky to find for handicap travelers searching online for wheelchair transportation in Cancun. I chose them initially because they were the only business that advertised a phone number that I could contact using WhatsApp. All the others had either email or international phone contact only. Upon my first text I received an automated reply that they were out of the office, however, I was contacted 30 seconds later and was able to arrange my airport to hotel and return transfer quickly. We were greeted at the airport by the driver Alberto and we were at the hotel 20 minutes later. The van is a very nice large new Ford van that can hold to power wheelchairs as well as 4 to 5 seated passengers and has securement straps on the floor for the wheelchairs. Alberto turned out to be the best part of the trip! He is such a very nice man that speaks English very well and is quite knowledgeable about Cancún and the whole Yucatán Peninsula in general. We used For Handicap Travelers for both airport to hotel and return transfer that was arranged in advance as well as a trip to the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza that was about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Cancún. We had wanted to go to Talum that is a little closer to Cancún and by far the most popular tourist site in the area however fortunately that area was closed due to the COVID situation. So we chose to go to Chichen Itza and was really impressed. We had a personal tour guide as well as Alberto staying with us throughout the tour of the ruins. We also took a day trip to see the real downtown area of Cancún and doing some souvenir shopping at a much less touristy market, Mercado 28. We also had a nice authentic lunch at the market. There were plenty of locals eating there and it was nice to get some delicious local food along with Alberto's advice! I highly recommend For Handicap Travelers for anyone needing any type of special assistance transferring from the airport or sightseeing in general not just in Cancún but throughout the northern Yucatán region. Alberto is prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable about the area and operates the van in a very safe manner. They can also install standard seats where the wheelchair spaces are and operate a normal tour van for 8 to 10 passengers so I also encourage those who don't necessarily need a specialized wheelchair van to use their services.

  We booked a few different items through this company. We booked transportation to and from the airport to our Beach Palace hotel in Cancun. We also booked a scooter with them for the week, which was amazing because they brought it with to the airport and we were able to have it all the way up to the airport when leaving. The final thing we booked with them was an adventure for to Tulum for a day trip. Alberto joined us for everything. He was so personable, reliable, and fun! He really went above and beyond for my family. We had a delayed flights and they were very willing to work with us upon arrival. They were there ready and waiting. We had a elderly member of our party go almost faint when at Tulum. He ran all the way back to the parking lot from the ruins to get another wheelchair. He literally made the trip that day. I would highly recommend booking with this company.

  First, I was very nervous relying on an unfamiliar service to pick my family up from the airport. This was my family first trip outside of United States; My oldest daughter is in a wheelchair and is unable to transfer to a seat. However when I met Alberto all of that nervousness went away. He was very professional and genuinely nice. I was so impressed with his service that I requested for him to take my family and I on a shopping trip. That 3 hours trip was one of the highlights of our vacation. When my family go back to Cancun I will not hesitate to hire this company for all my families transportation needs.
