On this tour, you will taste a selection of French specialties, including pastries, macarons, brioches, breads, cheeses, charcuteries, seasonal fruits, fine wines, and more, all locally made and crafted by talented artisans and small-batch producers, including a former chef of Le Ritz and award wining farms.
After starting your tour next to l'Eglise Notre-Dame, you'll head to the farmer’s market, dating back over 300 years, where the locals have been trading fresh produce for generations.
You'll then pass by the Royal Stables and the Palace, to then continue on to the Saint Louis area, where small houses built under Louis XIV to house local artisans face the Cathédrale Saint-Louis. After visiting, you'll head to the Royal Vegetable Garden, built to supply the Palace with fresh produce and still in activity, a place where farm-to-table traditions have flourished for centuries.
Along the way, our expert guides will share fascinating insights into the French terroirs and their history!

Absolutely one of the very best things we did on our holiday and I can't recommend it enough! Clement was an amazing tour guide, gave us interesting background and history on the town of Versailles and the local food and culture as we wandered. We ate some amazing food, walked around and enjoyed exterior views of the gorgeous palace of Versailles, and finished our time together in the King's potager (vegetable garden) for our lovely picnic with wine and watching two wild parrots flit about in the trees. We were stuffed with treats by the end. Absolutely thrilled we booked the tour, you will not regret spending a few gorgeous hours wandering through the town and munching on local treats and then capping it off with a charcuterie picnic. The tour was just an exceedingly calm and pleasant experience, especially when compared to the crowds and chaos of the inside of the grand palace which is where we spent our afternoon following the tour. Book this tour, you won't regret it!

Extremely delicious and informative tour. Our guide, Clement was extremely knowledgeable about the area’s history and the food. The special part was eating in the secret garden surrounded by the beautiful flowers and vegetables.

We had an incredible time on our food tour in Versailles, led by the fabulous Clément. From the moment we started, he made us feel like locals—wandering through charming streets, stopping at hidden gems we never would’ve discovered on our own. What made this tour stand out was how immersive it felt. We weren’t just eating—we were shopping for our picnic like true Parisians. We gathered delicious charcuterie, sampled pastries from bakeries that each had their own specialty, and wrapped it all up with a gorgeous picnic to savor everything we collected. Clément was warm, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond—even sending us personalized food recommendations near our accommodations after the tour ended. Highly recommend this experience if you're in Versailles and want to taste the city beyond the typical tourist path. Five stars and then some.

Such a lovely experience! The tour guide Sergio was really nice, I really liked that he would take the time to answer questions from everyone. He would also help us interact with everyone in the group so no one would feel left out ( I really liked that.) The food was amazing and the views were incredible.

I thoroughly enjoyed my food tour in Versailles. My guide was terrific — passionate, knowledgeable, and very interesting to talk with. He also spoke excellent English. The pace and amount of food on the tour were just right and it was great to visit the wonderful markets and some of the other shops in this lovely town with a local resident. Having a picnic in the beautiful King’s Kitchen Garden with all of the delicious culinary treasures gathered from the market and shops was delightful. Highly recommended!
