Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood

The emirate of Dubai is known for being one of the most modern cities in the world. But it also has something to offer those wishing to see what the city looked like before it put itself on the map as a tourist hotspot. Nestled along Dubai Creek, the historic Al Fahidi Neighborhood provides the visitors an opportunity to experience the traditional lifestyle that was prevalent in Dubai from the mid-nineteenth century to the seventies of the twentieth century. The tour begins with a visit to the historical district of Al Fahidi, known as Al Bastakia. We will have several stops where we will talk about the history, culture, traditions and the life style of the people of Old Dubai.

    A very nice excursion to see a different side of Dubai! The tour was only with our family what the tour operator had done especially for us because we are with our two children. We have been looking forward to all the beauty and special of this beautiful culture. I recommend this excursion to everyone but also this tour operator!

    Walks of Dubai was an amazing journey into Old Dubai thanks to the passion and knowledge of our guide Hamza. Hamza was clever, funny and so knowledgeable and passionate about his country and its culture. As we strolled through the alleys of Al Fahidi, Hamza involved everyone in his commentary, made us all feel very comfortable and answered our questions with consideration and patience. We took a traditional abra ride across the creek to the souks where we learnt about the value and benefit of spices and marveled at the abundance of gold in the gold souks. Hamza's passion for the city's heritage was so contagious we didn't want the tour to end. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone, we had a wonderful time.

    We had a wonderful tour of the old city with Mo. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. You cannot go to Dubai without taking this tour because one really had to understand the history and see the people who really make up this city. Mo was the best guide providing insight and lots of information throughout. My family and I travel the world and his tour is one of the best.
