This tour is the best way to get to know Corcovado because we visit two different stations; with two different ecosystems; On the one hand Sirena that we will appreciate the fauna and the reconstruction of a forest of only 47 years that was cut down and is gradually being regenerated. On the other hand, San Pedrillo, with a totally virgin and pure primary rain forest, which saves the energy of more than 4000 years old.

The tour starts EN 5:50am on the main beach DE Drake Bay. We take the boat to Sir ENa Station, this journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, hopefully on the way DE the boat we will have the opportunity to see marine animals. We disembark EN the beach DE l’S Siren, where we will put on our shoes to start the first walk. EN this route the trails are short, well delimited, and flat. The objective DE DE this part DE the tour is to interact with the group and try DE see as many animals as possible, since, EN the sector DE Mermaid the animals are more used to humans, and there are few top predators. The most common animals DE see are minor mammals such as monkeys, coatis, agutis, etc. This walk ends at noon, after lunch EN Siren, when we take the boat to Sector DE San Pedrillo.

START THE ADVENTURE! EN San Pedrillo the trails are irregular, wilder and we visit a more natural environment. The objective DE DE this part DE the tour is to get to know one DE the only primary rain forests in the world, with ancient trees, land of top predators. Here the ES animals are more elusive and maintain their natural behavior, making it harder to see them, but you can get a big surprise like seeing a tayra hunting a sloth, or a cougar! The reason we love ES part of the tour, is POR the interaction between prey ES and predators, even if it is just listening or EN throwing them, it is magical, we will be on trails without people. EN this part the pace DE the walk ES faster, mainly to be able to surprise the animals and to arrive before dark at the station, take dinner and rest. The route DE San Pedrillo is about 10 - 12km.

The second day we start to recharge with a good DE breakfast, and then the walk back to Drake begins. We'll go into a thick jungle, where you'll think you're lost in the middle of nowhere. As always, we are characterized POR NO traditional trails, where you will see NO people feeling in a real jungle. ES walk is DE approximately 10 km, until we reach the sector DE Los Planes don de take lunch and a 4x4 will pick us up to take us back to the hotel or center of Drake, arriving at about 12:30 - 1pm.

5.00This was my favourite tour I’ve ever done in Costa Rica. We spent the morning of the first day at Sirena station, which is very busy but lots of animal sightings. I was concerned about the ethics of how accustomed the animals are to humans like in places like Manuel Antonio but this was completely different. The animals feel so safe here because the rules are so strictly followed rather than the opposite. We saw crocodiles, all 4 species of monkeys, a family of peccaries, toucans, countless birds and a sleeping tapir. We had a great lunch at the Sirena station before taking a boat to San Pedrillo. The jungle is completely different here because its primary forest. We spent the afternoon doing a very challenging hike through the jungle with lots of steep ups and downs. Be prepared for A LOT of mud. My shoes got pretty destroyed. And I’d recommend packing as light as possible. We stayed the night at a beautiful station with dorm style accommodation. The next morning consisted of a 3ish hour hike to a stunning waterfall which was a much needed break to cool off. Overall I highly recommend this experience and tour company. I think this was a great tour to do solo as I met a lot of people but also great for couples or very adventurous families. However some hiking experience or good level of physical fitness is a must. My guide Yen was really knowledgeable and an entertaining storyteller and made us all feel very safe while still offering a challenging hike.

4.00We took the Corcovado overnight tour with Daniel from Top Trails. He was so great! Professional, patient, knowledgeable. We got really lucky on the weather - no rain! - and saw birds, reptiles, sloth, tapir, monkeys, spiders, crocs, etc. Our group was only four people total. Don’t expect a good night’s sleep at Sirena lodge however (pack eye mask and ear plugs!), and the bathrooms can get kind of gross. But can’t expect too much from a remote lodge! They did have nice mosquito netting over each bunk. The food is decent (tipicos) if a bit repetitive, and there’s plenty of drinking water available.

5.00Excellent everything! Very good advice starting with Mireia who patiently helps you find the right tour. Aldo a great guide, with a passion for what he does, brought us insurance without missing any of the experience, telling us moment by moment everything about the park, visualizing many animals that surely we would have overlooked. In addition we had to share only during the morning with a family that was really very complex and rude, however Aldo proved to be a good leader and maintained a perfect mastery of the situation generating good weather. We came back very happy, do not lose the overnight experience, the shelter is totally beautiful and you will find Capi who is super helpful, Esteban who cooks deliciously, both are very nice and warm, make you feel welcome. If you really want to see Tapires you must go compulsorily since there I could see it at night and in the morning because they eat fruits from one of the trees that are there. While the experience may seem costly, it’s really worth it for the amazing memories you have left and the TopTrails team that makes everything unbeatable.

5.00It was a wonderful experience. The first hike was beautiful, many animals seen, but also many tourists. The second hike a lot quieter. Wilder jungle, unspoilt. Our guide Yen was friendly, funny and could tell us a lot about nature. The last hike was beautiful with a beautiful waterfall. The stay at the lodge was good. We were a small group, so were lucky to have a room to ourselves. The food was delicious.

5.00We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Yen! Very knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor. The first part of the trip was more focussen on animals and the second part on nature and the forest as a whole. The food was great, the animals were stunning and the jungle was beautifull and intense. Even in the rain this experience was once in a life time. Would definitely recommend.

5.00Amazing experience, one of the biggest adventures I’ve ever done!! Did a 2 day jungle tour with sleeping at a camp in the jungle. The tour was guided by Yen, a very funny and passionate man who learned us a lot about all the wonders the jungle has to offer. Highly recommended!!

5.00We met Daniel from Top Trails Corcovado for a two day trip taking us from Sirena to San Pedrillo Stations. Our main aim was to see as many species of animals as possible, with the main aim being a puma sighting. Not only we managed to achieve that but we learnt alot about species we had never encountered during our precious travels. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable about the behaviour of the various species, and our two days with him were superb!

In addition, we are extremely grateful to guide Jenrique, he has shown us all his knowledge, as well as teaching us the lifestyle of Costa Rica, the way of thinking, culture and what nature appreciates. Without a doubt, I recommend you take the tour with him, as he will not disappoint them. I recommend the full tour, night in the jungle the place is beautiful as you have it taken care of and very nice, plus the next hike. We don’t know how to show how happy we are and how rewarding we have lived this experience.

5.00Everything perfect! In the hiring we were solved all the doubts via Whatsapp and we were able to close the dates in a super easy way. Once at Drake we were explained everything we had to take and the tour in detail. The morning of the tour all great, we met our guide Dany and took us through the best corners of Corcovado, very professional and with great knowledge, very flexible and friendly. We get to see marmoset monkeys, howlers and spider, plus tapirs and a velvet. When we arrived in San Pedrillo we saw a very fresh footprint of cougar and turned to see if we located it, but it was not possible. The night in a super nice, quiet and very comfortable place with very good food and fresh beer. In short, great experience with very very good company, 100% recommended.
