What To Expect
Cano Island
The tour starts at about 7:30 am from the Rancho Corcovado Hotel, We will try equipment and after that we will take a boat to the Island which will last approximately 45 minutes to the Cano Island. Once we get to the island your guide will give you all the instructions you need to do the first Snorkeling point which last around 45 minutes to 1 hour. At this area you will be able to appreciate rock formations and corals, surrounded by multicolored fish. Then we will take a break of around 30 minutes and then we will go do a second snorkeling point around the Island. After the second snorkel we will take you to Playa San Josecito so you can see one of the most amazing beaches in Drake Bay. After that we will return to Drake Bay around 1:00 pm for lunch at one of the local restaurants.

4.00We were lucky as we saw a Whale while driving to Caño. And there we also got to see a turtle and a Manta Ray which was very cool. Just a few things that bugged me: *The fish variety is good but not as colorful as eg in egypt. *You HAVE TO drag a life vest around with you which is just annoying for experienced swimmers (you are allowed to free dive briefly but have to get it back afterwards) *it feels a little stressy as you have to stick to the group and can NOT DO YOUR OWN THING

5.00We did the tour with Alvaro and the experience was amazing. Although the sea was not so clear this day we could see a lot of marine fauna such as turtles, moray eels and blankets. On the way from Drake we also saw a whale. Álvaro was an excellent guide who accompanied us and helped us see everything, you can see that he really likes what he does. We and the rest of the group were delighted.

4.00Knowledgeable and nature respecting guide. We saw one turtle and many fish. Visibility was ok, but that is not anyone's fault. Good to know that because Caño island is a nature reserve you are not allowed to swim everywhere. Guide is with you in the water making sure everybody is fine and following the rules. And also pointing out interesting fishes and other creatures.

5.00The snorkel tour was amazing! It included the boat ride on which we saw whales multiple times, which was beautiful, 2 snorkels, 2 stops at beautiful beaches and a delicious lunch. Adrian was a great guide with lots of interesting information, great to understand and talk to :) would recommend for sure!
