That is, when the new Buddha statue or Buddha painting to be placed in the temple or when the believers invited the Buddha statue who wants to worship, then the Buddhist ceremony will be held by inviting monks to chant and blessing. Now, people have given it a wider meaning. The blessings of a Buddhist monk will lead to a long, healthy and peaceful life. If you are interested, you can buy a string of beads or a bracelet in Lama Temple. Follow your guide to a blessing room, then give the bracelet to the eminent monk. The other people may have a amulet, Buddha Statues and etc. With the beginning of the ceremony, the monks chanting, you will get Inner Peace.

This tour is a scam. They charged 180 dollars for a cheap ticket. They provided no transportation. They provided nothing other than 25 dollar tickets to the activity. I have had my share of scams while I have been here. This is a big one

The tour includes two musts of any trip to Beijing - the Lama Temple and the Confucius Temple. Our guide, Felix, was excellent, speaks very good English, and is a wealth of historical information which he is happy to share. He is very experienced and was able to take routes that avoided the crowds while giving still a very comprehensive experience. Adding to it that Felix is very funny and you have a very educational and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

Because they are nearby, we were able to visit not only the Lama Temple, but also the Confucius Institute and the Imperial College, and a nearby hutong as well. My guide managed it all calmly and professionally. I appreciated that she picked me up at my hotel and returned me there at the end and I was happy to pay the Didi taxi fares. It was a great way to spend my first morning in Beijing.
