• Orcas and whales. A lifelong held dream

  Absolute life affirming experience getting so close to the orca's and humpbacks whilst snorkeling. This was everyrhing we dreamed of. We also had the experience of sea fishing and preparing our own meal with the fish. The boat was a luxery hotel on water and spacious. The fjords and white mountains are overwhelming and marine life is so abundant. Tavaha and Kai were masters in their hosting, taking care of their guests but mostly their profound love and respect for their environment and the whales and orca's. Could not recommend this trip more. Just one piece of caution: whilst diving with the orca's we did not get in direct range with the whales and orca's. They have their own will. Don't let that hold you back though, just don't let yourself be guided by the social media suggesting you always get in direct contact.   A truly exceptional experience. At all times, Häkon and Nick went above and beyond to make sure we had the trip of a lifetime. Not only did they more than deliver on the promise of Whales and Northern Lights, but they filled the evenings with great experiences and fun including 2 brilliants meals in restaurants. The home cooking onboard was also very good and accommodated all the guests needs and wants. Additional clothing was provided in the form of extra warm suits if needed too. All in all, it was the perfect trip executed perfectly by Northern Yachting. I can not recommend the whole experience enough.

  Best part of the northern experience by far. The crew are awesome and do their very best to make it the amazing experience it is. Haakon is quite the cook too.

  We had an amazing time whale watching and northern light spotting around Tromso while staying in a luxury catamaran. The ideal mixture of adventure and relaxation, our captain Håkon was an excellent guide and chef who tailored the trip perfectly for us. Thank you!

  We had a great 4 day whale safari on board that really loveable catamaran Arctic Eagle - the last one this season... Captain Håkon and Nick really made the most of this trip for all of us - safe and enjoyable at all times. Their experience and good network gave us special insights into the region and we had very nice exchange. The hospitality was also very genuine and warm which made it easy to call this very comfortable catamaran our home for a few days. We were very fortunate to see lots of Orcas, some Humpacks and even Finnwhales just out of Skjervøy. We even had a very pretty Aurora borealis one evening which mached perfectly to that wonderful trip - highly recommended tour!

  We had a wonderful time aboard the Arctic Eagle! In four days, we saw lots of Orcas and Humpbacks and Captain Hakon and Nick where absolutely great, no matter if it came to explaining everything we wanted to know about the whales or making you feel welcome. They are also very careful not to disturb the whales, which is so very important. Long story short: if you are looking for a whale watching tour, those guys are the best!

  We have just come back from a very special trip with Captain Håkon and Nick, seeing the orcas, humpbacks and Northern Lights in the fjords north-east of Tromsø. Captain Håkon's experience and ethical approach fostered trust with the whales so that we not only found them on the first day, but had time alone with them. We were lucky enough to see a wonderful display of Northern Lights above the boat on the first night, thanks to Nick's vigilance. Captain Håkon and Nick are a great team, and great company as well. We trusted them completely and they did everything possible to give us the best experience and tailor the trip to our wishes, adapting to the fast-changing environment and weather with full consultation at all times. We are a family of 6, and the 48 foot catamaran the Arctic Eagle became our friend during the 4-day trip. The boat was warm and cosy, and the three cabins (each with private toilet/shower room) accommodated us comfortably. We had great fun playing cards and hanging out in the spacious and comfortable communal area, and Captain Håkon cooked delicious and plentiful local dishes. Captain Håkon and Nick made sure we were safe at all times whilst trusting us and supporting us to get the most out of the experience (including swimming from the boat - mad people, bring your swimmers!!). Captain Håkon also took wonderful photos so that we could enjoy the experience fully in the moment. It was the trip of a life-time, couldn't recommend Northern Yachting highly enough.

  We had a magical trip on board, the service was 5 out of 5... Haaåkon and Nick were amazing at everything, fix food, find places to see whales and killer whales... We are so happy with the biggest trip of our lives. Don't miss this if you have the opportunity to get there. Tromsø as a city e super nice and lovely to stay in, so make sure to have some time for this too.

  Captain Håkon and Nick treated us to a fantastic experience for 4 days exploring north-west of Tromsø searching for Humpback and Orca whales which they found on 2 consecutive days. The catamaran Arctic Eagle was comfortable and warm inside with ample space to move around and really nowhere was off bounds. Captain Håkon gave a good safety brief and demonstration of how to use the buoyancy vests and other features of the cat. During the trip the meals he cooked were local dishes and tasted delicious, there was always more. Captain Håkon is experienced and very passionate about Norway and the wildlife in the ocean. He was very respectful of the whales maintaining a safe distance when manoeuvring the cat, the whales came to us. During the trip the weather forecast was for very strong winds but Captain Håkon modified his path and we moored in safe ports for 2 of the nights which actually placed us in a good location for the next days watching before the faster larger boats arrived in the morning from Tromsø. Overall, a fantastic trip with great people looking after us and we highly recommend traveling with Northern Yachting.
