What To Expect
A mix of the Gion and the Higashiyama areas. We can do parts of the following during your one hour photoshoot and get a variety of Kyoto's beautiful backgrounds. Here are some of the following we can do dependin Gion - Traditional streets, small shrines, and temples / Higashiyama - Go through Maruyama Park, Ninenzaka, and the Yasaka Pagoda. This gives you a nice mix of traditional and natural spots to look back on fondly. - Guided through the locations with some insights and knowledge of the area - Talked through various poses, or more candid scenes - Capture the best photos of you, your family, and friends - After the photoshoot, I will edit your photos to make them even better - It can take up to 2 days to edit and upload your photos, but I also do my utmost to have them done as quickly as I can without compromising quality.

5.00I texted him just a day before asking for an early morning shoot in Gion, and he replied instantly. He asked me questions about the kind of photos I wanted, and you could tell right away he really loves what he does. When we met the next morning, he took me to some amazing spots around Gion. I don’t have a lot of experience taking photos, but he guided me the whole time and made it really easy and fun. The pictures turned out great, and honestly, the shoot itself was very enjoyable, and he’s also just a great guy to talk to. If you’re in Kyoto and want some beautiful photos in Gion, I’d 100% recommend booking with him.

5.00I had a photoshoot booked with Hugh and he was very warm and supportive throughout the whole shoot. I had actually let him know in advance that I wanted to organise an engagement proposal and he immediately offered to help as much as he could to guarantee a magical experience for my partner and I. This definitely paid off as the photo’s and moment turned out exactly how I imagined and my partner felt the same. Throughout the shoot Hugh was very knowledgable of each location and provided extensive assistance on our posing. The turnover for photo editing was only 12 hours! He loves what he does for sure. Highly recommend to anyone looking to gain a memorable and personalised album of photos from Kyoto.

He took time also to tell us some information about the area and gave us a chance to have some breaks along the way. I really recommend this experience for anyone visiting Kyoto and wanting to see some beautiful, traditional spots with some amazing photos.

5.00Hugh is a great photographer and nice guy. I only have limited time in Kyoto and He took me to Yasaka Shrine for the photo shooting and it was lots of fun at the same time. He picked the nice spots to stop and take photos and at same time gave me introduction on where we at and what we are seeing. It’s a great experience
