One of my best experience in Japan. The staff are really funny, interesting. You learn about the history of Japan while you sharpening your shuriken.

The class was so very cool! The instructions clear and very beginner-friendly! I would recommend this experience to all! The location is tucked away enough to feel magical, and special, but not so far that you can't get to where you need to next. The instructor Taka-san was phenomenal, so cool, funny, and informative while making sure you're engaged and successful! Ouka-san was our helper for the sanding, and she did the engraving and was so sweet and helpful! The staff were all friendly, kind, and very much seemed like there was nowhere else they'd rather be than there with you. 15/10 would do it again and again and bring everyone I could!

Everyone here was so incredibly nice! I’ve never blacksmithed or created weapons before but they made it seem easy and really fun. I got to make a kunai and it was one of my favorite parts of the vacation. I would call it an absolute necessity for anyone visiting Kyoto!

Made some kunai in Kyoto with Taka, Olga, and the team — unforgettable experience! The entire process — forging, sharpening, sandblasting, polishing, and finishing — was hands-on and incredibly rewarding. Had my family crest laser engraved (at another unaffiliated location) but had the kanji hand engraved onsite. The staff and Taka spoke English, were friendly, patient, and made everything easy to follow. Whether you’re into traditional craftsmanship or just want a one-of-a-kind experience in Kyoto, I highly recommend it! 😎

My 15yr son participated in this experience and simply loved every minute. Set in an authentic Japanese studio, the hosts were gracious and extremely helpful. Very hands on and a great keepsake to have. Thoroughly recommend for anyone who wants to experience traditional handiwork and/or loves everything Ninja!
