When you travel through West England, you feel bewildered.
In Avebury, you wonder why Neolithic inhabitants built the largest stone circle in Europe. At Lacock, you question how the stunning abbey has managed to be a nunnery, a brewery, a bakery, and a home. And in Bath, you ponder over what Britain would have been like if the Romans had never visited.
So on this tour, we give you time to investigate the secrets and understand the beauty of these famously historic locations.
Your guide lets you wander through the streets of Bath, where Georgian architecture effortlessly blends with ancient Roman artefacts. You travel to Lacock, where the rickety old lanes have been used as a filming location for Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, and Pride and Prejudice. And you venture to Avebury, where the stone monuments have beguiled visitors, historians, and archaeologists for centuries.
So uncover the mystery and history of West England on our tour to Avebury, Lacock, and Bath.

Avebury Stone Circle
No one knows why the druids created this landmark. But we do know it's bigger and older than Stonehenge.
Lacock
After lunch, we travel deep into rural Wiltshire to Lacock village, famous for its picturesque streets, historic buildings, and role as a television and film location. The Abbey in the heart of the village has its own woodland grounds, and is a quirky country house with fascinating architectural styles. Free time either to wander around Lacock or visit the Abbey (some of Harry Potter was filmed in the beautiful cloisters of this ancient abbey).

Graham was a great guide, telling us stories and about the sites as we were driving. And he provided clear and helpful guidance for each of the stops we made. Each of the stops were very interesting and diverse, and the itinerary of this activity works out really well. I highly recommend both this activity/trip, and Graham as your guide!

What a wonderful adventure! Our driver and guide, Lalji, was fun, knowledgeable, and full of dad jokes that kept everyone smiling the entire day. He shared so many interesting facts about the English countryside, history, and local life, making the long drive fly by. The large van was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a full-day trip. Each stop—Bath, Avebury, and Lacock—offered something unique and charming. The visits felt short at first but were actually the perfect amount of time to explore, snap photos, and get a real sense of each beautiful location. This tour was a great way to see more of England beyond London and a perfect break from all the city walking. Highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting a fun, easy, and memorable day out!

This small group tour provides a short taste of each location. Driver did a good job providing information on each location offering suggestions to get the most out of the limited time at each location. A lot to see in 1 day. I will return to Bath to spend more time.

Excellent and professional. Carl was great. I got utterly lost in Bath and we late. He waited for me so I wasn’t stranded. I was contacted via phone and guided to the meeting place

Good tour unfortunately neither weather nor traffic cooperated making the day long and wet. Carl had moments of brilliant humor and he should continue to cultivate his comedic talents. Commentary was a bit sparse at times. Great food in Bath!!!

A great day out. Good time spent in each place and Pete the driver and guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He knew his stuff and his commentary and tips not only from the 3 places but about London on the way out was interesting. He also explained other Rabbies offerings and tips for other things to see and do in London which was brilliant.

Avebury has a stone circle that is even larger than Stonehenge! Lacock is beautiful, but Bath is unique. We could have spent another hour at the Roman baths. Be sure to see the Abbey and the Jane Austin center!
