Without this valuable tour one would visit the area without the rich information imparted by the guide.

Great information on Matthias Cathedral, Buda Castle area and the history of the country. Pointed out other points of interest worth visiting. Personable. Would recommend without hesitation.

5.00We had a fabulous 3 hours in the Buda Castle and Matthias Church in the walking tour. The view of the city and Danube is fantastic! Our guide was super knowledgeable and interesting when describing the history and significance of the topic in question. She summarized the incredibly complicated history of Hungary and Budapest in an amazingly precise 5 minutes! Matthias Church and the surrounding area was fantastic and the meeting spot at Trinity Column was perfect. We got to know other guests during the walk and ask questions of our guide at any time. A high point of our visit. Our guide earned a well deserved tip for a job well done and it is highly recommended by us. We ate a tasty sandwich in the National Gallery after the tour. Don't miss visiting the House of Houdini (pointed out on the tour), the only exhibit in Europe dedicated to Harry Houdini, who was born in Hungary. The sleight of hand magician, Benedict, was incredible, and sitting in the front row promised your participation in the card and coin tricks. Still haven't figured them out! The informational guide was very good and the number of Houdini artifacts on display was impressive. A Houdini/ Hardeen grandson actually visited in 2025. The owner is also a recognized escapist/magician in Europe. I bought a set of postcards worth framing!

5.00We had a fantastic tour with Rajmund. He was funny and incredibly knowledgeable about Budapest and Hungarian history, answering all our many questions throughout. The strudels and coffee in the middle were delicious and we also enjoyed learning about modern Hungary and Hungarian culture from him. Highly recommend this tour especially if it is among your first activities in Budapest!
