Jade Cenote
The Jade Cavern (or Cenote Chempita) in Cozumel is a popular, natural sinkhole offering an adventurous and culturally rich experience. Swim in the Cenote: The primary activity is swimming or floating in the cool, refreshing, jade-colored freshwater of the underground cavern, offering a stark contrast to the tropical heat. Cliff Jumping: For the adventurous, there is a platform (typically 8–20 feet high) available for those who wish to jump into the deep waters of the cenote. Explore the Cavern: Visitors can admire the natural geological features, including impressive stalactites and other ancient rock formations created by centuries of mineral deposition. Mayan Significance: Cenotes like the Jade Cavern held immense spiritual importance for the ancient Maya. They were considered sacred wells and the only reliable source of fresh water on the peninsula. The Maya viewed them as portals to the Underworld (Xibalbá), and they were often sites for rituals, ceremonies, and offerings.
El Cedral
Your exhilarating off-road journey passes through El Cedral, the oldest continuous settlement on the island. This charming village offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and adventure. See the small, but historically significant, Mayan ruins dating back to 800 A.D.—the oldest vestiges of civilization on the island. Your guide will explain the sacred role this site once played. Get a true taste of local life as you pass through this authentic community, established by refugees during the 19th-century Caste War. Note the traditional whitewashed Catholic chapel that stands beside the ancient ruins.

Balta took us on a amazing adventure through the jungle forest to a beautiful cenote cave, where we could jump off a cliff into the water and learn about the healing qualities that the sulfur had for your body. Then we continued on to a old ancient Tequila manufacturer where we learned how they made tequila on the island. It was interesting to hear how they age the tequila with different barrels to get different flavors. We sampled some very smooth tequila with no after taste. Then Balta took us back to the jungle and completed our tour. He was an aweaome guide. If you come to Cozumel dont miss out on this great trip.

Hirberto did an great job with the tour. The terrain was a combination of dry and muddy, lots of puddles due to the rain the previous two days.I suggest that you bring pesos to enter the park, if you pay with card or usd the cost is more becuse of conversion rate and extra tax.
