Jade Cenote
The Jade Cavern (or Cenote Chempita) in Cozumel is a popular, natural sinkhole offering an adventurous and culturally rich experience. Swim in the Cenote: The primary activity is swimming or floating in the cool, refreshing, jade-colored freshwater of the underground cavern, offering a stark contrast to the tropical heat. Cliff Jumping: For the adventurous, there is a platform (typically 8–20 feet high) available for those who wish to jump into the deep waters of the cenote. Explore the Cavern: Visitors can admire the natural geological features, including impressive stalactites and other ancient rock formations created by centuries of mineral deposition. Mayan Significance: Cenotes like the Jade Cavern held immense spiritual importance for the ancient Maya. They were considered sacred wells and the only reliable source of fresh water on the peninsula. The Maya viewed them as portals to the Underworld (Xibalbá), and they were often sites for rituals, ceremonies, and offerings.
El Cedral
Your exhilarating off-road journey passes through El Cedral, the oldest continuous settlement on the island. This charming village offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and adventure. See the small, but historically significant, Mayan ruins dating back to 800 A.D.—the oldest vestiges of civilization on the island. Your guide will explain the sacred role this site once played. Get a true taste of local life as you pass through this authentic community, established by refugees during the 19th-century Caste War. Note the traditional whitewashed Catholic chapel that stands beside the ancient ruins.

This tour was fantastic! 4 of us with two teens. Great ride with Balta, our tour guide. He took us all over the island. And gave us a tour of Jade Cavern. The ATVs worked very well. Went on great trails! If you’re looking for a good time on some ATVs, this is the place! Highly recommend.

Had a fun excursion with Beto and the team. They picked us up from the cruise terminal and was a fun 4 hours with tequila tasting. We managed to not break anything, or each other 😆 and was an entertaining day

We had an amazing time! Heriberto took us everywhere and was an awesome guide. Great adventure tour! Mostly trails with maybe a quarter of the trip on roads. You don't need to be an expert rider, but there are some challenging areas along the way. If it's raining, definitely bring a poncho and wear shoes or sandals that you don't mind getting wet. We're absolutely soaked and muddy. Couldn't be happier! :)
