This could and should have been a lot better. The sites we visited were wonderful to see but our "guide" chose not to include at least two stops which were listed in the description (Sainte-Mere-Eglise and a visit to Utah Beach). Moreover, the tour description on Viator states, "This private tour is completely tailored to your group's preferences." Nothing could be further from the truth. When asked to make a brief stop at Berkhamsted Castle in Caen (which he said we would pass) our guide refused and indicated there was not time. This was surprising to learn particularly given the fact that the total time the tour lasted was significantly less than the 12 to 14 hours listed in the description. In addition, the tour operator did not respond to two messages I sent via the Viator app. I received zero communication from anyone associated with this experience until our guide showed up late to pick us up. The worst part of the experience, however, was our babblative guide inviting himself to join us for lunch and then having us pay for him. I have been on numerous tour through Viator and never have I experienced something like that. This could have been a fantastic experience and should have been for the high cost of the tour. A partial refund should be granted. Very disappointing.

We had Agnès as our guide for the day. She was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. We had the most amazing private lunch, overlooking Omaha Beach. I strongly recommend this excursion.

It was such a great experience even though it is such a somber event. Our guide, Gilles, was very informative, professional and personable. The younger kids in our group really enjoyed it as well. We highly recommend this tour!

This private tour was above and beyond what was expected. We could not have had a more perfect day. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about Normandy. We say it all and had a very special lunch as well. Highly recommended

This was a fabulous tour!! Jean Noel was an amazing tour guide. It was a long day trip from Paris but worth it. We were not rushed through any on the sites. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informed us of all the most important information we needed to know before we got to the sites. He spent time pointing out sites along the way and he stayed with telling stories. Many times you just get dropped off but this was not that tour. He went over and beyond to ensure we saw everything we wanted to see and it did not stop there. My son left his bag in the car. Jean Noel and the tour companies answered my frantic emails into the very early morning hours. Jean Noel brought us our bag first thing in the morning too.
