What an incredible day exploring the Douro Valley! He picked us up and dropped us off in a very central location in Porto and made sure we were comfortable along the way. Our guide, João, was so friendly and knowledgable of the both area and of Portuguese history. He made the entire trip so memorable! The wine/olive oil tasting was informative and fun! The wine and oil were delicious, of course. Although it was a cloudy day, the views were still breathtaking. We then went to a local restaurant for an amazing meal! This day trip was totally worth it - and we were back in time for the sunset!

I did the Douro Valley Half-Day Tour from Porto today and had the best possible experience. I ended up being the only person booked, so it turned into a private tour — just me and my guide, João, who made the day unforgettable. We started in Valença do Douro, where I had plenty of time to enjoy the panoramic views and take stunning photos. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and João knew all the best viewpoints. Next, we headed to Pinhão for a guided winery tour and tasting. The guide there was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience feel personal, explaining the history behind the wines and tailoring the tasting to my preferences. After that, we went to Tabuaço for lunch at a local restaurant — authentic, delicious, and the kind of place you’d never find on your own. Every part of the itinerary was smooth and thoughtfully paced. João was friendly, funny, and consistently went above and beyond to make the day special. 12/10 would recommend this tour — and if possible, I’d definitely request João.

Great tour guide! João was so wonderful. We had great conversation during our trip and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the wine tasting, and the lunch. He even helped us with an issue outside the scope of the tour. He really went above and beyond.

We have just returned home from Porto having done the Half day tour with Nuno Silva as our guide. We had a great day an would highly recommend this tour. Communication from Nuno was excellent before the tour and he was funny and friendly during the tour. His English was also excellent. We did wine and olive oil tasting and had lunch at a local restaurant. Thanks Nuno for a great day

We had a wonderful trip to Douro Valley!! Teresa was a fantastic guide and driver. She was very good at answering all of our questions and sharing information on the region. We loved our time with her! The scenery was stunning and Teresa gave us photo opportunities to capture the beauty. The wine tasting and olive oil tasting was delightful. Lunch was delicious. For our group it was a perfect day!

We had an amazing tour of Douro Valley! Our driver and guide, Teresa, was awesome and answered all our questions about the region. The scenery was gorgeous, the tastings were very good and the lunch was excellent. Would recommend this tour!

Such a beautiful area. These smaller tours in new and airconditioned vans are great. Our driver/guide Ana was also great and described the area and gave us the history. Highly recommended. (We did the tour in July 2025)
