Most Japanese people watch Sumo either on TV or at the Sumo Stadium. It is very difficult to find a Japanese who have watched the Sumo-wrestler's morning training!!
So, this tour will welcome you to a very special and unique experience to watch their training from a very close distance!! I'm sure you will be overwhelmed and surprised to see the intensity of their morning practice.
If you are luckly, Sumo wrestlers will take photos with you after the practice.
Even if you miss to see a Sumo match, this experience of watching their training will give you an idea of how the Sumo competition is like and what a Sumo-wrestler's day is like. We will explain more to you about the very interesting Sumo world.

The itinerary for this tour includes some locations that are not accessible by a wheelchair or stroller.
The sumo stable is often visited by various tour companies, so seating will be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. Late visitors may be seated 2-3 rows from the front. We appreciate your understanding.
Caution: All areas in the sumo stable are off-limits, except for the tatami (straw flooring) areas.
Summer in Japan is very hot and humid, so we recommend that you bring water and wear a hat to prevent heat stroke.

5.00Mayu's explanation was very complete. It had everything very well prepared in a folder with all the data and explained in very good English, which is to be appreciated. The gym and training exercises very authentic, with the teacher giving directions. A highly recommended experience that can be completed with the climb to the Tokyo skytree next door.

5.00Marie was an amazing guide for this very unique and unforgettable experience. I thoroughly the enjoyed the practice. It was genuine and we were very up close. Highly recommend to this to anyone who wants to experience some Sumo. Having Marie as our guide was extra special because she was super enthusiastic and interested in Sumo. She knew all the wrestlers and gave us amazing insight and a quick primer on what to expect before we arrived at the Stable. I hope to return with my family at some point.
