Excellent full day trip. Small group experience. Our local tour guide, Ueli, was excellent. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and pleasant. He kept us on schedule without stress. There is a lot to try to fit in in one day. More time in Zermatt would have been nice, but it's already a full long day. There is plenty of time at the Matterhorn to see everything there, including the little chapel, and the museum/interactive indoor experience. Seeing the Matterhorn was on my bucket list and this was a well organized way to do it in one day from Zurich. Recommend this tour.

The Matterhorn is a sight to behold. There is a sense of awe and wonder as you gaze upon it. We were lucky to have a sunny day to see it in all its magnificence. We went in December and at the end of the day, we walked thru Zermatt. It was like being in a Hallmark Christmas movie with the charming village, twinkling lights, and lightly falling snow. Enzo was an awesome guide. He was educational and kind. He helped get a chair for my elderly father who was not able to travel up to the viewing platform at the top of the Gornegrat. He offered to stay with him at the terrace level and encouraged me to go to see Matterhorn from the platform. At the end of the trip he graciously helped navigate us away from the very confusing Zürich HB to the street our hotel was located. 10/10 would go again with Enzo.

Very poor description of a meeting point and nothing marked. There is no Viator sign it is simply 'Best Of Switzerland Tours" The tour the Zermatt is basically one guide and you are going from one train station to another. In our case it was us and another couple. They call it a small group tour and there is no small bus. It is just chasing trains which you can do yourself. We tried to call to find the exact meeting point and no one answers. They tell you to meet at the Swiss Tourist Office, they have no clue about any Viator. Total waste of money! Not worth it at all! While I knew we might not be able to see Matterhorn because the weather changed ver quickly, I was hoping the trip to be informative with tour guide and quite sometime at the Zermatt village and on top of gorngrat. However, the whole trip was literally just train transfers where we spent almost 4 hour each way on the train ( we missed the first train transfer, due to the poor booking schedule where there was literally like a 2 min transfer and because the first train was delayed, we missed the second one and had to wait for another 30 mins). On the train ride, there was barely any talk from the tour guide and he was literally there to remind us when to get off the train and where to go for the next transfer. We could have done exactly the same thing ourselves. While we were at Zermatt, we had time for a petty big Italian lunch where the tour guide took us there. However, we didn’t have any time in the village where my friend and I finished the lunch 10 mins earlier than other folks and walked a tiny bit in the village for some photos. After the cogwheel train up the gorngrat, we spent only like 30 mins there, it was barely enough time to take some photos, ran to the bathroom etc. Then we came down with the same train and spent less than 30 mins in the village before we caught the train back already. It was like 3:30pm when we headed back. I don’t know why we needed to head back so early where there were much later trains till like 6-7pm. I checked the Matterhorn view camera, the mountain showed up closer to 6pm. I wasn’t even gonna complain we didn’t see Matterhorn at all because of the weather. However, this whole trip was so disappointing with such long train ride which was completely not mentioned in the itinerary and we didn’t visit any of the places in Zermatt like cemetery, view point bridge etc mentioned in the itinerary. The trip cost almost 700 dollars per person where the train ticket was at most 350. This was just ridiculous to pay such a high price for such poor experience especially it was completely not the same in the itinerary.

It was a great experience. Our tour guide was very quick and very expert. The tour is expensive but I had great time . I just wished we had more time in the village.
