Dinner with Suzy was so lovely! Exceeded all my expectations. Suzy was so welcoming and made me and my friends feel at home. She had prepped portions of the meal ahead of time and we still had plenty of hands-on experience with cooking the food. She was easy to talk to, and it was nice to connect over drinks and an appetizer part way through cooking the main meal. We learned about ingredients that are predominantly found in Belgium. For dessert, we had pears that she jarred herself with a delicious chocolate and cream sauce on top. Her husband, Bob, joined for the meal and he is equally as wonderful as she is! They shared about their experiences living in Belgium. It was so great to be able to ask questions about the area and their time living there. There was much laughter around the table! I was able to keep the recipes to try and recreate them back in the States. I would highly recommend dinner with Suzy and look forward to dinner again next time I am in Belgium!

Spending an evening with Suzy and Bob was like spending an evening with good friends. Suzy is a warm and natural presence. Her home is so comfortable! We made (well, in fairness Suzy made; I cut up a few vegetables) several Belgium classics: a tomato with tiny gray shrimp from the North Sea and a homemade aioli sauce; the freshest tasting pea soup imaginable; salmon steamed with leeks and carrots; mashed potatoes with sorrel and cauliflower. The food was deceptively simple and absolutely delicious. Suzy: thank you for a wonderful introduction to Belgium. If you are ever my way, I hope to return the favor.

Words truly can't begin to describe how much fun this cooking experience was for me and my family. This was our first time out of the country (United States) and we've truly never done anything like this - however, we couldn't be more pleased. Upon arrival, Suzy made us feel just like family and gave us a tour of her beautiful home and garden! Suzy and her husband Bob were so delightful and fun to spend time with. It was so clear that Suzy loves hosting and has a true gift of hospitality - She went above and beyond to prepare food we would enjoy and teach us so much about cooking the meal. We had countless questions about Belgium and the culture here, and Suzy/Bob were incredibly knowledgable! I would recommend this cooking class to any friends/family visiting the area! Hoping to stay connected with Suzy and Bob in the future, we loved them :-)

Suzy is so charming and we had an absolutely wonderful time spending an evening in a Belgium home with Suzy and Bob. The food was delicious and we learned new techniques of how to prepare meals. Bob and Suzy are adorable and it was fascinating to hear of stories about Belgium during World War II and just the everyday life of Belgium. The house and grounds are wonderful and Suzy uses all of the gardens and areas to entertain. It was a fabulous time.

Suzy is a fantastic host; she is warm, welcoming, accommodating, and most importantly - a great chef and teacher. She answered questions before, during, and after the event. I was able to bring my English speaking parents and my husband for a lovely day in Ghent. We learned a lot about Belgian culture through the delicious food and dynamic conversation. Be warned, make sure you arrive with an appetite! :) Suzy takes the time to shop locally in advance to give the most authentic experience she can. My father is a good cook but even he learned a trick or two from Suzy. Thank you again, Suzy! We will always remember the time we spent with you in your beautiful kitchen and home!

Suzy and Bob were wonderful hosts, and we had a fun and memorable time cooking with them in their beautiful home! This was a welcome break from the constant eating-out of the rest of our vacation. The food was interesting and enjoyable and the company was great. Highly recommended.

Perfect evening of Belgian/Flemish culture and food. At home in her beautifully appointed and modern kitchen, Suzy planned a beautiful menu and taught us new cooking techniques along the way. Her husband, Bob, joined us for dinner and was a true delight. By evening’s end we felt as if we were saying goodbye to friends. Highly recommed😊

Our time with Suzy was like hanging out and cooking with a great friend we have known for years even though we only met that day. She is fun, lively, personable and a great home cook. She guided us, demonstrated for us and encouraged us as we cooked together and laughed together in her beautiful kitchen. I absolutely loved being with her and learning about Belgium beer, Waterzooi and white asparagus with mimosa sauce. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in the kitchen and dining with her and Bob was also wonderful.
