5.00Our guide Emmanuella was very informative. We waited about 40 minutes to enter the Duomo (security queue) and she told us a lot of the history and other information about cathedrals generally, the statues on the West front, the Baptistry and so on. This left only a limited time with her in the Duomo, but it is quite plain inside. Her English was good, but accented, so might be difficult for a non-native speaker to understand. I thought this was good value for money at €11 each. Website says take own headphones, but not required if you can understand the English.

2.00This is NOT “skip the lines.” You will wait in line 30+ minutes and then another 10 minutes in the entry area of the duomo. Bought this tour to not wait in a line again on vacation. Ended up standing in the beating sun for 30 minutes, the elderly lady behind us actually was about to pass out and had to sit down. If you think you are buying this to skip lines, you will not. You will get in the long line that wraps around the block. I only give it 2 stars because the actual duomo is beautiful.

4.00I booked ahead for a tour of the Duomo- the Cathedral of which Brunelleschi's dome is a part. We had a delightful Florentine guide with Viator. The entry was timed but we still had to queue for entry. It was easy to meet the guide near the Lindt Café. Our guide did have to compete with an organist for a while inside the cathedral but that was an added bonus.

5.00Our host, Julio, kept us entertained while waiting our turn to enter the Cathedral. We did have to wait to enter but the tour began while waiting.
