This was a very bad experience. Would not recommend. It was a very rainy day in Florence and we never found the person to validate our tickets. The message said by bell tower. no one there. We never got inside the Doumo.

The ticket allows for a brief historical overview of the history of the Duomo. The guide and allow for quick access to the site. I busy travel times the non ticket line can become quite lengthy.

There were about 25 people in the tour group — way too many — combined with a hard to understand accent, making the tour almost worthless. Further, the tour guide repeatedly answered questions from travelers adjacent to her which was confusing.
