  A wonderful way to spend a day outside Paris. Two beautiful French Chateaux that are nearly as crowded as Versailles with Fontainebleau being the inspiration for the palace in Versailles. Our guide, Brunhilde, was fantastic. I would recommend this tour and Blue Fox Travel!

  The castles are spectacular and the time spent at each one was sufficient. Lunch was fantastic - a recommendation of our guide, Olivier. Unfortunately, Olivier was not very fond of several things: Napoleon, french gardens, French presidents, Montmartre... He seemed very knowledgeable of history, and he allowed his skewed perspective of that to taint his appreciation for the simple beauty of the sites. At each of the two chateaux, audio guides take you through, so it was a minor annoyance. He was very kind.

  Loved our guide, Cesar. He was knowledgeable and personable (and an excellent driver). Personally, I did not care for Fountainbleau. I found the audio guide to be way too lengthy and dull. For the most part it was overwhelming opulence. Vaux le Vicomte, on the other hand, I found very interesting. Versaille was modeled after this castle and it is like a mini-Versaille without the crowds and the story of the castle was fascinating. Leave time to wander the grounds. Personally, I would've liked to have done only the Vaux le Vicomte but, hey, if you're a French History buff then Fountainbleau may wow you.

  The first of my Bluefox tours A wonderful trip with the amazing Brun(hilde) as driver and guide. The tour was well organised and allowed plenty of time at both chateau plus a lunch break. An excellent way to visit two of the best chateau in comfort in a small group. Bluefox is attentive and messages remind you of upcoming tours.   Our guide was friendly, and fun. Also punctual. Needs to brush up a bit on his history. The few issues with the tour were not his responsibility. Fontainebleau - Great place for the history buff. Perhaps a bit too much Napoleon. Pee before you go in. There are no facilities in the chateau, not even a water fountain. Once you leave there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The auto-guide is cumbersome and sometimes confusing. The headphones are a nightmare. Veux-le-Vicompte - A lovely place, much smaller and easier to navigate. Hope for good weather as you will want to spend time in the gardens. The auto-guide is a performance rather than a lecture.

  The visit to Fontainebleau was not long enough. We spent as much time at Vaux-Le-Vicomte as we did Fontainebleau. The audio guide was difficult to use and hard to coordinate to the room. The curtains were closed in the rooms and they were dark making it hard to read the signs in the rooms. Our guide stayed outside and did not come in with us. The lunch stop was good. Augustine seemed knowlgeable but was limited in time.

  This small-group day trip to the Château de Fontainebleau and the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte was an exceptional and highly informative experience. I give it five stars without hesitation. The itinerary provided a perfect contrast between the sheer historical weight of Fontainebleau and the magnificent architectural inspiration of Vaux-le-Vicomte. The true highlight of the day was my guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, offering in-depth insights that brought centuries of French history and design to life. Even better, the guide had a wonderful, welcoming presence that immediately put me at ease. This professionalism and warmth created a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The tour itself was impeccably balanced. Moving from the diverse history of the royal residence at Fontainebleau to the singular, breathtaking vision of Vaux-le-Vicomte was truly inspiring.   Cesar, my guide was very knowledgeable and a very nice young man. He even brought me an umbrella when it started to rain. Tour was better than I expected. The castles were different than the ones I've seen before

  The tour was fantastic. Our guide, Cesar was very knowledgeable. He was great in accommodating the needs of the group and made very helpful suggestions, even arranging lunch at a medieval castle. Both Fountainebleu and Vaux-le-Vicomte castles are well worth a visit. I would book with Blue Fox Travel again.

  We had a wonderful time on this tour! Our guide, Brunhilde, was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting facts with us. The castles were very impressive and well worth a visit. Brunhilde also made some great food recommendations and ensured the trip ran very smoothly. Thoroughly recommend!
