Urquhart Castle
We will journey along the banks of Loch Ness, Scotland’s second largest loch, where you will be able to hear the legends of Nessie, the Loch Ness monster and see if you can spot her for yourself! We will stop for a view of the Urquhart Castle which sits on the shores of the loch, steeped in history. You'll be able to snap some iconic photographs before we continue the adventure.
Invermoriston
We continue down the shores of Loch Ness and onto Invermoriston, where the river Morriston connects to the loch. You will be able to see the original Invermoriston bridge, and Summer House which have spectacular views over the falls and were the inspiration for “Neverland” in JM Barry’s novel Peter Pan!

Malcolm was our guide and driver on the September 19th tour. He is a great guide; very informative and humorous. He was able to make a few diversions due to inclement weather, which made for a full day. If I had any complaint, it was not a gloriously sunshiny day that everyone wants, but, Malcolm made the most of it and we have great memories of the area and pictures to prove it!

This is absolutely amazing day trip. The best of the ones I did while in Inverness - we did not have to cover huge distances, the party was not huge, we had a guide and a driver who were just fab.
The scenery is fantastic, if you are into mountain landscapes of course - I am.
We were told we were lucky with the weather, and seeing Isle of Skye, Outer Hebrides and other smaller islands was not a problem.
One of the highest located paved roads in the UK Applecross pass Bealach na Ba is gorgeus, I must admit. It's something I always forget about Scottish mountains. They don't seem very high, but then you must remember you start your journey from the sea level.
The only downsize was a guy in front of me who was taking pictures all the time and so it was his hand with a camera in it that obstructed my view a little bit
Thanks to Vicky and Kevin for being such fantastic guides

I cannot rave enough about our Tour guide! I believe his name was Michael and he was so informative and friendly the entire day. This tour was by far the highlight of my vacation with stunning scenery and so many opportunities to stop and take photos and ask questions. If I ever go back to the area I would definitely take this tour again!
