What To Expect
Chureito Pagoda
The Chureito Pagoda, located in Arakurayama Sengen Park, is a must-see attraction. This park is renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of Chureito Pagoda, Mt. Fuji, and Fujiyoshida City at the foot of the Mountain. To reach the Chureito Pagoda and the observation deck, visitors must climb 398 stairs. The view from the top is considered one of the best in Japan and is listed as one of the 21 must-visit places for photographers from around the world. While the cherry blossom season is ideal for capturing the iconic image of Mt. Fuji surrounded by cherry blossoms and the five-storied pagoda, the park offers stunning scenery throughout the year as the landscape changes with the seasons.
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
The shrine was built in 705 and has served as the guardian god of Arakura Village for over 1,300 years. It is a sacred place of worship where people seek protection against bad luck, promote harmony within their households, and pray for safe childbirth and successful child-rearing.

5.00This was a really straightforward day to see all the major sights in the Mt Fuji area. Logistics were excellent from the start with the tour operator adding us to a WhatsApp group which meant that coordinating the group before and during the trip was really easy. Jay the tour guide was great - kept everyone to time during the day and gave us enough information to bring the tour to life. The coach was comfortable and there was enough time at each of the stops. Take an umbrella though as when it rains it really rains! Also, the chances of an unhindered view of Mt Fuji are really slim so don’t be surprised or annoyed if you don’t get to see the mountain.
