What To Expect
Verzenay
After the pick up at the clients' accommodation in the center of Paris between 7:00 and 7:30am, the minivan is heading to Champagne. A French light breakfast will be served on board. The ride in a minivan Mercedes lasts around 2 hours before arriving at the pitturesque village of Verzenay. Then in the vineyards, the guide explains works throughout the 4 seasons from the pruning to the grapes harvest, then visit at a small champagne producer's where a vintner shows how to transform grapes into champagne. Following a session of tasting for at least 3 champagnes. Then the minivan is heading to Reims for lunch, it would take 30 minutes.
Reims
Lunch at the restaurant "Au petit comptoir". Every day, the chef cooks only 8 dishes with fresh and seasonal products, 3 starters, 3 main courses and 2 desserts. Up to the guests to choose the 3 course menu ! The chef can accommodate special diet and allergy. Lunch is included with a glass of red wine or wihite wine, mineral water, coffee or tea.

5.00Our tour guide, Trong, made this all inclusive tour even better than described. He personalized the whole experience from pick up to drop off. His extensive knowledge greatly contributed to the day. This was my 3rd time to Reims and third tour of Pommeroy specifically and this visit was the best by far. It was also amazing for the first-time visitors in our family of six. The food and wine included were outstanding. The logistics were very efficient. Highly recommend.

5.00One of my best experiences in France. Trong, our guide was so knowledgeable about the Champagne region and the whole process of making champagne from harvesting the grapes to distribution. From pickup at our apartment, to a fabulous tour of some vineyards ….a delicious lunch in Reims and a tour of the Cathedral in Reims. A wonderful way to spend a day outside of Paris. Great value and experience

5.00My family had such an amazing tour of Champagne. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made it such a great experience for my husband and I, and our 3 kids! The region is beautiful with great food and wine. We took a daytrip from Paris, and at 2-hours by car, it was very easy and the kids loved seeing different sites. Champagne is only 45 minutes from Paris by fast train for another quick daytrip option. Highly recommend booking this trip!

5.00Our group had a fabulous time with Trong. He was so knowledgeable and informative. He had breakfast for us when he collected us in Paris for the 2 hour drive to Champagne. The tour was incredibly informative and the lunch in Reims was fantastic. The visit to the Pommeray Champagne House was amazing. Overall a tour that is great value. Highly recommend it !

5.00Our group had an amazing day with Trong on our Champagne tour. From start to finish, it was special. He provided breakfast in the van, educational information, and interesting local stories as we drove. Our visits to the vineyards, the two champagne houses, the cathedral, lunch--all is it was amazing. Mostly I appreciate how much Trong engaged our 10-year old Jack. He had such a great time! Cannot recommend highly enough.

5.00We were fortunate to have a private tour due to cancellations. Our guide Tong was amazingly knowledgeable in many areas including wine making, history, plants and local knowledge to name a few. He provided pastries for breakfast and took us to a nice restaurant for lunch. The standout was the visit to Pommery and its underground labyrinth displaying amazing art installations. It was a great day!

5.00I can’t say enough good things about this tour! It’s so close to Paris, it makes a fabulous day-trip. Prior to our tour from Paris to the champagne region, I experienced good communication with scheduling and payment arrangements. Our group of 4 started our day by being picked up on time in front of our lodging. There was another couple already in the comfortable mini van. So only 6 of us plus our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Trong. As we traveled north towards Reims, Trong explained about what makes champagne different from other wines. We stopped in a vineyard, picked some grapes, and smelled many different flowers and plants, and took beautiful photos. Trong shared stories of the local culture and gave us each flowers or healing plants. We had a fantastic visit to a family producer. There’s so much I didn’t know about the process of making champagne. After a tour of the facility, we enjoyed tasting several of the bottles and picking our favorites to take home. From there, we continued on to Reims where we enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal with fresh ingredients, more champagne, and some wine too. We then toured the famous Notre Dame of Reims cathedral and the American library with its art-deco elements. Onwards the tour continued to a much larger champagne producer. Wow was it a surprise going through their caves and seeing all the wild & fun things to do down there! Of course, we tasted more champagne after the tour there. Regarding some practicalities: - Breakfast pastries, juice, water, and coffee were provided for us in the van. - We had plenty of bathroom breaks. - Being picked up at our lodging was perfect. I can’t wait to come back on my next visit to Paris.

5.00Another fantastic day trip from Paris with Trong, to learn about and enjoy champagne. From the delicious pastries supplied with hot coffee, driving to Rheims, the included quality 3 course lunch( with more wines), and sampling of 6 different champagnes, this was a memorable day spent together with family. Trongs passion and knowledge for champagne, learning about the French rural way of life ,and his support for the Champagne Region of France is admirable. We also got to see the workers on the last days of the harvest, and learn about the champagne making process. The visit to Rheims Cathedral is worthwhile too. This is a great day away from Paris, as it's only about 1.5-2 hours drive. Have a special day out , and be spoilt by Trong. Highly recommend it
