  We had an enjoyable day seeing the Cotswolds...we felt like nothing was left out in our experience. My only complaint would be the limited time at some stops, but that's unavoidable, given all the ground that needs to be covered. Our driver. Paul, was personable and knowledgeable. Very nice guy! Would definitely do this tour again!

  The tour was really good, Paul was very informative, knowledgeable and patient, even with a very difficult passenger who went out of her way to be a pain in the butt. Paul was super professional and handled her well. The tour exceeded our expectations.

  We enjoyed the areas that we went to but felt like it was very expensive for so little time in each spot. We also were disappointed that we were not able to hear our tour guide at all during the van ride as there were several noisy passengers that loudly talked through the entire 3 hour ride and also talked loudly over the tour guide the entire time. We asked the tour guide several times to speak to them but whether he did or not, it did not stop. On top of that one other pair in our van took out an entire grocery store in the van and made themselves lunch while we were riding to our destinations in the back seat. It’s one thing to be eating snacks but to be making sandwiches on the tour with others in tight quarters was not cool.

  We mainly visited four well-known villages in the Cotswold. Two of them felt a bit commercial to me, but they offered some good restaurants. I especially liked Bibury and Snowshill—they truly matched my expectations of a typical British village, with peaceful atmospheres and beautiful scenery. The time allotted for each stop was generous, allowing plenty of time to explore, wander, or enjoy a relaxed lunch. During the drives between locations, our guide shared interesting history and stories about the area, which added context without cutting into our visit time. We also visited Shakespeare’s Birthplace, which is a well-organized and engaging museum. You’ll probably need at least an hour to tour both the museum and the house. There’s no need to book tickets in advance—our guide gave us 70 minutes there, which was just right for a comfortable visit.

  This is a very long day in a bus that is very cramped with 16 passengers. For a 10 hour tour that bus should have 4 less seats! The audio system along with the poor pronunciation by the driver made it inaudible from the 4 rear seats in the back of the bus. The driver/guide was a lovely man but it seemed more like a job than a passion which I compare to other Viator tours I’ve taken. His timing was off as he dropped us off for an hour at the second spot for a lunch break but the restaurants didn’t open until noon so there was absolutely no time to explore the town. The few bits of information I was able to make out is the Cotswold’s were known for their sheep and wool products but today is now known for tourism. That was a turn off as we saw ice cream shops and trinket shops everywhere and the opposite of what we wanted from being in the city. Beautiful countryside with a few photo ops but not worth the 10 hour cramped quarters. FYI if possible do not sit in the last row with 4 bench seats, it was miserable. You know it’s know it’s not good when your spouse is looking for a train station to get back to London less than 1/2 way into the trip! Such a disappointment from other Viator tours I’ve taken!
