What To Expect
Senso-ji Temple
This is a must-see! The oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo, it’s surrounded by bustling shopping arcades and narrow streets with local stores selling all sorts of hand-made crafts and delicacies. Buff young men and game young women operate rickshaw and you’ll see plenty of folk dressed in kimono, it’s a great spot for pictures!
Akihabara
This area is very Tokyo, packed with all sorts of electronics and anime stores, game centres, and “maid cafes”, it’s something you won’t find anywhere else in the world. We could also make a stop at Mitsukoshi department store on the way down to the fish market, it’s a grand building with French and Italian marble under the skylit ceiling, it was once home to a baby elephant!

5.00This was a great experience for us, as we had little time in Tokyo and needed to get round things quickly. We were able to customise somewhat, and communication when we booked was good. Rich was the driver, he didn’t just ferry us round but had local knowledge as well. He’s an English speaker, but also speaks some Japanese. This tour may seem pricey, but honestly the time and stress it saves is so worth it.

5.00We highly recommend Rich as a guide. He was personable, knowledgeable and obviously loves his city. We had a great day, visited and saw everything listed on the itinerary. His van was comfortable and he dropped us off in convenient locations with clear instructions about where to go and where to meet him afterwards. Communication was perfect!

Rich was very kind and accommodating to the scheduling and our dynamic family needs (2 kids); he was also a great guide providing insight of various areas and stops. It was perfect timing that we arranged for his tour at the beginning of our trip; it helped us plan areas we wanted to explore in detail.
