What To Expect
Meiji Jingu Shrine
Meiji Jingu Shrine is one of Tokyo's most iconic and significant Shinto shrines, located in Harajuku. We'll walk together to the main building of Meiji Jingu Shrine while learning about the culture and history. We'll also learn about some Japanese traditional rituals.
Takeshita Street
Following the Meiji Jingu Shrine we will head to Harajuku, taking the famous & colorful Takeshita Street. Takeshita Street is a bustling and iconic shopping street located in the Harajuku district of Tokyo and tons of shopping & food opportunities. (Find rainbow cotton candy or poo ice cream)

5.00Jero was an excellent guide that made an overwhelming city seem more manageable. We saw 10 major attractions which gave me ideas on where to come back to for a solo foodie experience. The pace was just right and the walk was easy. This tour is well worth your time and money.

5.00Jero was an excellent guide and was full of knowledge. Tokyo was overwhelming and scary at first, but Jero brought me to plenty of the "must see" tourist spots. Be prepared to walk (it's an easy walk) but I logged 16k steps. The tour is worth every step.

We were jet lagged and needed to adjust our timing and Franz was flexible and accommodating. He went above and beyond! He helped us make a special dinner reservation and made sure we arrived on time for our next event. Franz is an excellent conversationalist, he’s fun and funny - he made the experience feel less like a tour and more like exploring the city with a friend.

5.00This tour was a great way to experience Tokyo, especially if it is your first time, but honestly even if it is not. I did the four-hour option and was genuinely surprised by how much we managed to see and do in that time without it feeling rushed or overwhelming. It was one of those days where you look back and think, wow, we covered a lot. Our tour guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, engaging, and really good at explaining both the history and everyday culture in a way that made everything click. I learned so much that I never would have picked up just wandering around on my own, and it made the neighborhoods feel more meaningful instead of just busy or touristy. This is an excellent trip for beginners because it gives you a solid foundation and confidence navigating the city, but it is not only for beginners. There is enough depth, context, and storytelling for anyone to enjoy it. For the price, it is absolutely worth it. Four hours flew by, and I walked away feeling like I got a real sense of the city rather than just checking places off a list. Highly recommend if you want to see a lot, learn a lot, and make the most of your time in Tokyo.
