The tour begins with an introduction to Dublin City, as we head south towards County Wicklow, known affectionately as the "Garden of Ireland".
Beautiful lakes, dense forests and romantic brooks make this a wonderful scenic drive and a fine day out from the big city.
See the scenery made famous by films such as Braveheart and P.S. I Love You. We make our way over the Wicklow mountains to Glendalough (minimum 1,5 hrs stop) - the valley of the two lakes.
Enjoy a relaxing walk to the Upper Lake and explore the monastic ruins of St Kevin's monastery including its round towers, Celtic crosses and much more.

Even on rare occasions when the tour experiences delays due to severe weather and related traffic the tour should be back downtown by 13:20. Please advise the driver first thing in the morning if you are concerned about airport connections and he can provide some general advice. In normal circumstances it takes 40-60 minutes from the city to the airport by bus and between 20-30 minutes in a taxi. The timings of this tour are as published and cannot be modified.

As we leave the city we pass by Sugar Loaf mountain and descend through Ireland's highest village Roundwood on your way to magnificent Glendalough. Here we make a short stop at one of the most photographed locations in Wicklow, Lough Tay, which is also commonly called The Guinness Lake.

The rural area were a nice change from the city. > However > Study/research area(s) ahead as there little to no information provided otherwise. While the touring staff at checkin and the bus driver were exceptionally nice the start time was delayed for 90 minutes because the original bus driver had called in sick the morning of . . .

The bus was an hour and a half late picking us up so they cut our half day trip short. There was no stop for pictures in the Wicklow Mountains and we did not get two hours in Glendalough

If you are hiker definitely go on it… you can be dropped off in morning tour and go back on afternoon tour if there is room…otherwise give it a miss. Catch a train - pick a pretty little town and spend the day meeting the local folk.

The time they leave to see Glendalough on your own is very short, it takes at least 2 hours to see it. We finished the tour half an hour earlier than scheduled.

Beautiful experience. Great guide and half day was so great after the long days prior. The walk is not hard and worth it to see the falls.
