Our guide picked us up at our hotel on time. Immediately we took the road to the tea plantations towards Uji. We visited the Shoujuin Temple, then headed to the tea fields to take pictures. Afterwards tasting various teas at a tea interpretation center outside Uji city. Return to Kyoto to visit one last temple. A superb afternoon that will take you to places outside the tourist circuits. The guide provides a lot of explanation and is very friendly!

Daiki is amazing! He showed us so many hidden gems that we would’ve never found! This was one of the most scenic tours I’ve ever been on! You will definitely have an amazing time.

Daiki is fantastic. Patient, considerate, and knowledgeable, he made this tour the highlight of our trip! He's very personable and we loved every stop that was made because of the info he shared not just about the history but about the changes in modern times. You can't go wrong taking this trip especially if you are a tea/matcha lover or even if the history of it or the temples interests you at all!

We had such a great day. Daiki has a wealth of knowledge about Japanese history and culture and has such enthusiasm for sharing it. He also has such patience for all of my picture taking. Daiki even dropped us off at a nearby restaurant so we could get straight to dinner at the end of the day. The scenery is the region is truly incredible-tea fields, rice paddies, bamboo and cedar forests line the roads. Very interesting temples; Byodo-in was particularly special. Had a tea flight and matcha affogato at Wazuka-cha cafe which was very enjoyable.

Daiki, our guide, was absolutely pleasant. He speaks great English and we talked a lot during the journeys. Very knowledgeable about Japanese culture in general and the places where he accompanied us. The ride is very pleasant. The two times he took us are wonderful and led us to discover the beautiful views of the tea fields. I highly recommend this tour for both adults and children.

We did two tours with Daiki, the tea fields tour (extended) and the ninja tour. Both were very well organized, the vehicle is comfortable and Daiki offers the possibility to adapt the program to your specific interests. The places visited are off the beaten track, with not many other tourists, which is great. Daiki also gave us nice food recommendations. On the tea tour you visit a tea store/cafeteria and some photo spots in the fields, but you don’t really walk around in the tea fields for long of visit a factory. The scenery is very nice though. Recommended!

The tour was amazing! Daiki is knowledgeable, fun, and full of happy energy. He taught us a lot about tea, Japanese culture, and history. During the ride, we saw picturistic Japan, which better represents the country than what metropolitan cities usually show tourists. We bought pure grade teas and Matcha from local farmers. The pictures we took were fantastic!

Our trip with Daiki to see the Uji green tea fields was a top highlight of our three weeks in Japan. We saw beautiful green terraced tea plantations, Ujigami (the oldest shrine in Japan) and enjoyed a delicious matcha dessert at a rustic Wazuka cafe. Daiki kindly took us to see the Genji Museum (at my request), if you like Japanese literature/history this a fantastic exoerience. His minivan is clean and comfy. Best of all, Daiki is friendly, easygoing, knowledgeable and so easy to talk to. We plan to book more tours with Daiki and you should too!
