Join Adelaide’s only hop-on hop-off Hahndorf and Adelaide Hills winery tour service and depart from the Adelaide CBD or get picked up in the region. A comfortable bus collects from the Stamford Plaza Hotel (Adelaide CBD) at mid-morning, then takes you out to the beautiful hills region surrounding the historic township of Hahndorf, to follow a looping circuit featuring 8-10 of the best wineries and venues in the area. Each circuit takes approximately 1-hour to complete, giving you plenty of time to sample that venue's offering. Along the way you are free to hop-on or off at any of 4 selected stops on the timetable. Bus returns to the city in the late afternoon, disembarking at approximately 5:00pm.

What To Expect
Adelaide Hills
From Hahndorf’s plentiful array of authentic German cuisine, pubs and cafes, to the fine dining offered at The Lane vineyard, or the cheesemongers and chocolate factory at Woodside, thie trail makes the most of the region’s delectable offerings. Alternatively bring a picnic and recline on the lawn at Shaw and Smith overlooking lush views of lake, hills and vines.
Our comfortable bus collects from a convenient Adelaide CBD location in the morning (the Stamford Plaza Hotel), then once in the region we follow a recurring timetable circuit that takes 50-60 minutes to complete, in which time we visit all 10-15 of the selected venues. We follow this same timetable each and every hour until it’s time to return to the city in the late afternoon (approx 5pm). Along the way you are free to hop on or off at any of the established stops, so that in a full day tour you are likely to see up to 4 wineries of your choosing, at your own pace, and independently from the other groups on the bus. This is how you tour your way. Experience Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills as though you were driving yourself. Just 30-minutes up the freeway, Hahndorf and its surrounds feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of Adelaide city.

5.00As a solo participant on the Adelaide Hills Hop on Hop off Wine Tour, I found the driver, Brett, and and other people really friendly and inclusive. Brett was amazing and goes out of his way to help you have a great day. It's a lot of fun but one thing I would say, is to make sure that you remind the wineries upfront that you have limited time. Ask for a wine flight (where they serve you all the wines at once, rather than just two by two), otherwise you have to wait for them to return and if they're busy, you may find yourself running behind time, despite having the lanyard from Trailhoppers. As for food, Nepenthe have delicious and generous servings!

5.00This tour was FABULOUS and I would gladly redo this tour again. I loved the wineries and Hahndorf Town was wonderful. We were able to spend more than 2 hours here which really suited our plans. Brett our guide was amazing and so helpful with information on the wineries and area in general. Would definitely do this tour again on our return visit and tell all my friends about it.

5.00Really good trip, well organised. Our driver was lovely and really helpful. Nepenthe was by far our favourite. Lots of the places accommodate none drinkers so it is good for all. Beautiful scenery & even saw some wild kangaroos in the vines! Make sure you read the info pack before the day so you can make bookings.
