St Gilgen

St. Gilgen is also known as Mozart Village! Sport, culture and nature lie so wonderfully side by side there. The picturesque town of St. Gilgen is only 25 kilometers from Salzburg's old town. This idyll is closely linked to the child prodigy Mozart and his family. After all, his grandfather was born here, and Mozart's sister “Nannerl” found her home in St. Gilgen. Selected events and the Mozarthaus still remind us of the Mozart family today.

Miso did a super job in getting us to and from Hallstatt and was responsive to our interests. While Austria has an excellent public transportation system, taking this tour avoided the stress of multiple and time-consuming transfers.

Had an amazing private tour (self guided) to Hallstatt including a view of Wolfgang mountain and a stop at Gilgen which was very pretty. We chose to spend time at the salt mine and skywalk which was amazing as well as at the local cafe. We also spent time admiring the houses and browsing in the local shops. Our tour guide, Youseff (Mido) picked us up on time. He was very friendly, polite and knowledgable. So glad we did this trip. Thank you!
