Moulin Rouge Show
Montmartre
Iconic district in the north of Paris, Montmartre is nicknamed the “Village”. Famous for the great number of artists mainly painters who lived in its steep cobble-stone streets, Montmartre is currently one of the most visited areas in the City of Lights. This is why we offer to show you the real local side of Montmartre taking through the little local streets.
Moulin Rouge
Our tour begins opposite a quintessential Parisian landmark: the Moulin Rouge windmill. We’ll start the climb up the hill, spotting the café where the film Amélie was shot and Van Gogh’s home as we go. Our first stop will be at one of Paris’ best bakers, winner of many prestigious prizes for its bread and pastries. Here we will taste one of France’s most famous patisserie: a deliciously buttery croissant. Is there any better way to start your morning in Paris?

Max was amazing! He’s a working artist in Paris, and he was full of detailed, historical information about the neighborhood. We walked up and down and all over the hill, and Max was engaging and funny and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the tour immensely, though it was a workout! Our route avoided the crowds until the basilica, which was clever and appreciated. The earlier in the day the better re: scheduling this tour, because we saw the neighborhood as it was just waking up. Easily the best tour I’ve done in Europe this trip.

Lots of hills and walking but worth the effort. The church at the top is amazing. Even the children (10 and 6) enjoyed it. Love the small town vibe.

This tour offers a gentle and enjoyable walk through the charming streets of Montmartre. Keep in mind that many of the streets are cobbled, so comfortable footwear is essential. As the entire tour takes place outdoors with limited shelter, it’s also a good idea to come prepared for all weather conditions. The experience provides a fantastic introduction to the history and character of Montmartre, with interesting insights into its famous artistic and cultural connections. The tour concludes with some excellent recommendations for local food spots, shops, and places worth exploring further on your own. Visual aids were used throughout to help bring the area’s rich past to life, making the walk both informative and engaging. While you’ll see iconic landmarks such as the Moulin Rouge and Sacré-Cœur, entry is not included—giving you the flexibility to explore them at your own pace afterward. There are several tours starting from the same location, so it’s helpful to look for the company name displayed on a folder or sign to ensure you find the right group. We also appreciated the guide’s effort to send text messages to someone who hadn’t arrived, showing their thoughtfulness and commitment. My husband and I highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Benoit, was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the experience truly enjoyable.
