Make the most of your shore visit with our half-day adventure tour exploring the Big Island from summit to sea. We offer a unique tour including hands-on artifacts, fresh fruit, historical insights, and the significance of the places we visit. We'll take you on an unforgettable journey through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to the world's most active volcano, Kilauea. You'll travel from the visitor center to Kilauea crater for panoramic views of the smoking caldera and steaming volcanic vents, and walk inside iconic Nahuku (Thurston Lava Tube). For lunch, enjoy an island-inspired meal on us at a local restaurant. Later we'll visit (The Most Famous Black Sand Beach on the Big Island)Punaluʻu black sand beach and discover the picture-perfect scenery of Rainbow Falls in Hilo.

We offer pick-up & drop-off in the Hilo area only.
This tour is not wheelchair accessible and includes moderate walking, including climbing roughly 15 stairs during the lava tube tour.

What To Expect
Rainbow Falls
Rainbow Falls is named after the colorful rainbows that appear in the mists of its waters. Signs in the viewing area relate some interesting historical facts about the waterfall, as well as the legend of the “Battle of the Wailuku River”.
Lili'uokalani Gardens
Drive through the largest Edo-style ornamental garden outside of Japan. Liliʻuokalani Gardens is a peaceful park of towering Banyan trees, ponds, bridges, and pagodas.

5.00Desmond and Anthony gave us a tour which we will never forget! The history lessons along with visuals such as pictures and real life artifacts enhanced the tour! We were fortunate to see the volcano smoking with lava seeping out. Lunch was delicious and there were plenty of options. The black sand beach was gorgeous and we even got to see two turtles resting on the beach. The little touches on this tour were never ending and I don’t want to spoil all of the surprises. Book this trip!

5.00Our guides were great. They have the tour down to a science. We had plenty of time at each stop plus they provided lots of knowledge and gave us local fruit for a snack. The views were amazing!

5.00Desmond and Anthony were amazing! I was one of the best island tours we have booked. They were very personable and we enjoyed the special treats throughout the day. Lunch was included and was very good at a local restaurant.

5.00If you are reading this review to help choose a tour, THIS IS IT! Everything about this tour is a 10+10. We used Shaka Braddah Tours during our POA stop in Hilo. They were fantastic! Great communication prior to excursion, timely pick up, great stories and information on our way to our stops, they assisted guests in capturing great photos, lunch was included and it was very delicious. You ordered from the restaurant menu. We returned to the port as expected. Great stops along the way! I absolutely recommend this tour!

They went above and beyond in customer service; patently answering questions, being flexible in the tour and playing beautiful Hawaiian music..
