This was a wonderful tour of the Big Island. Our guide was great and the sights were amazing. This is the only Hawaiian Island we hadn’t visited and when our cruise made a stop in Hilo we wanted an excursion that would show us all the main highlights. This excursion certainly did that!

Our tour guide Laurie was on time at the cruise port, loaded with information (she moved to Hawaii 52 years ago), and was very easy going throughout the tour. It made you want to move to Hawaii, and more specifically, to the Big Island. As Laurie said, the Big Island is "mo betta" (more better), than any other island.

Our guide (can’t remember his name😬) was wonderful. We explored lava caves, falls, the Leilani Estates neighborhood area to see the aftermath of the 2018 eruption. It’s amazing the heat coming thru cracks in that lava still today. We had a great lunch purchased from a hot bar at a market. We visited a black sand beach and loved hearing our guides stories from his childhood on the island (he and friends went missing for 9.5 hours and popped out of a lava cave in a neighborhood).

Ellen was very informative and did a great job showing us around the Island. She talked the entire time and was a nice person.
