I booked a bus that would take me from the hotel to BSI and then to the airport at 6:00 AM. The bus arrived at bus stop number 9 at approximately 6:15 PM, and I arrived at the airport around 7:15 AM as expected. The bus was very comfortable and quiet.

Flybus made getting to and from the Reykjavík airport easy and MUCH more affordable than a taxi or uber. You schedule online for pick up or drop off at a bus stop convenient to where you’re staying. From airport transport is directly to that stop. Luggage goes into an under the bus storage hold. Get yours at your stop. On the return to airport a smaller bus will pick you up at your stop and you will need to manage your luggage onboard until you get to the main bus terminal where a larger bus will take you to airport (and again your luggage will be underneath the bus in a holding space). No eating/drinking on the bus. Trip is about 50 minutes from the main bus terminal in Reykjavik.

We booked the 13:30 departure and were instructed to be at the stop 10 minutes earlier. However, it wasn’t clear who would pick us up or what vehicle to expect. At 13:45, a pickup bus (not the Flybus) arrived at the stop and took us to the BSI terminal, where we arrived at 14:00. Once there, we had to walk to the other side of the terminal to figure out which Flybus we needed to board, as it wasn’t clear. We ended up leaving from the terminal at 14:30, an hour later than the time we originally booked. The time management was poor and the overall procedure was unclear and disorganized.
