We are Matenro Drift Racing OG drift team from Tokyo, Japan.
This is one of the first ever official JDM drift car experience activity in Japan provided by Matenro Drift Racing. You will experience the mecca of Japanese drift culture by going to a local drift car meet. The activity offers the opportunity to actually ride along in a drift car, allowing you to immerse yourself in the thrill of drifting. For safety, we will provide you with a helmet and gloves for free, so you can be assured about safety. If you prefer not to ride in the car, you can still witness drifting up close or from the stands.
All events are organized officially by a JDM drift team so all people who attend are drift car lovers and fanatics. Usually there are no tourists, we take you to the real local Japanese drift scene. We can take pictures and videos of you when you are actually on the car as well.

What To Expect
We are Matenro Drift Racing OG drift team from Tokyo, Japan. Drifting is a culture that originated in Japan. It is widely embraced by people around the world, and now many visitors come to Japan from all over the globe to experience Japanese drifting culture. You will be able to ride on the passenger seat of a real JDM drift car in an officially organized circuit. The events are all local events and the cars you see at the meets are truly authentic. Usually no tourists in sight, we take you to the real local Japanese drift scene. You will have 1 round guaranteed (about 8 - 10minutes) of immersive drift car experience. You may be able to get multiple rides depending on the day. You can also spectate the live action from the stands if you wish. We will provide you with helmets and gloves so please just bring a long sleeve shirt and long pants and sneakers (no sandals) to ride the car.

5.00Hiro was super great and informative he might just spell very welcomed. his crew was super awesome and friendly. We loved every second of it the feeling of the car being out of control while still being in control. I definitely recommend booking this experience if you’re a car enthusiast or just wanting to experience something new with a pump of adrenaline

5.00Takeshi made this special from start to finish! Drifting was a birthday surprise for my son who is a total petrolhead and was excited to see the modified JDM cars that were at Nikko circuit! We both had a few different rides with experienced drivers. Takeshi was extremely attentive all day and we had fantastic conversations not only about drifting and the cars, but also Japanese culture. The drivers we met were very welcoming and seemed to really enjoy having us onboard. A great father and son memory for us. Thank you Takeshi and the drivers.

5.00Takeshi, as well as the pilots present, were very kind. Takeshi explained to us, as well as the Japanese drift culture, Japan as a whole, and also the drift car technique. We were each able to do 2 laps as passengers with amateur drivers, who really mastered their driving. Smells like gasoline and guaranteed cracked tires. The passion for motorsports is present in these amateurs. Although Takeshi is bilingual Japanese - English, the pilots present were locals who did not speak English. Takeshi did a little interpreting. Unique and unforgettable experience. Unfeasible in France. The peculiarity of drift is that we are not looking for performance. Having a passenger does not handicap the amateur pilot in his practice, and is therefore widely accepted. It's part of the culture.

5.00Glad we got to reschedule for a day that worked because it was such a cool experience! Hiro promptly picked us up and was so kind and friendly. My 19 year old son had the time of his life! It rained but I still got to go with incredible drivers.

5.00I honestly wish there was a way to give more than five stars. Takashi made this experience unforgettable from start to finish. He picked us up exactly where we were supposed to meet and made everything feel easy and comfortable right away. The drifting itself was unbelievable. It wasn’t a touristy version of racing—it was the real deal. We were surrounded by experienced drivers, and the entire racetrack community was incredibly friendly. You could feel the passion they had for what they do. We always felt safe, but the adrenaline was definitely there! Takashi also went out of his way to make sure my 14-year-old son had a great time. He coordinated extra drive time and even more exciting cars, which really made the day special for him. If you're someone who loves cars, speed, or just unique experiences, this is something you shouldn't miss. We're already talking about coming back to do the drifting lessons next time we’re in Japan. Highly recommend it!!!

5.00Crazy fun. The guide was very friendly and also knowledgeable about the local car scene. We, a group of 4, got to be passengers while talented drivers was drifting on a racing circuit. Many cool cars modified for drifting. Easily the highlight of my trip to Japan.
