This tour advertises that it includes a tour of the Imperial Palace, Nijo Temple and Golden Pavilion. I mistakenly thought that the tour would not be offered if the advertised destinations were closed. I carefully read what was included and didn’t see the fine print under “additional information”. I recommend that you avoid booking the tour on a Monday or Tuesday and check the date of Japan’s public holidays (and assume the palace and temple will be closed the following day). We were instead taken to lackluster substitute destinations. It was money wasted. I acknowledge the tour guide was very friendly and attentive and the coach was comfortable.

Well organized experience, friendly and knowledgeable guide, saw a lot in the span of a morning, would definitely recommend to others who don't have a lot of time to visit Kyoto.
