Great tour. My only disappointment was that you don’t visit any operating facilities. Just old breweries that are now museums. Still a wonderful experience though. Jimmy was a great guide.

We had an excellent time touring the Gekkeikan brewery and learning about the history from our tour guide, Matt! He was very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything we were seeing thoroughly and answering our questions. We then had a small sake tasting at the museum before heading over to a 18 flight tasting at a izakaya. Our group was so fun and we made great memories! We even got to keep a sake glass as a souvenir!

Shun was a wonderful guide! Very knowledgeable and attentive to make sure everyone was ok on the hike. It was really nice to start in a residential neighborhood and make our way through the tunnels of torii to end up at the main entrance. Lovely forested route, up and over mountain and a treat to have a chance to learn about the culture and mythology as well as personal perspectives on life in Japan.

Had a great time with Kumi. She was very knowledgeable about the history and methods of providing sake and of the differences. She also answered a lot of questions about Japanese culture and areas of Kyoto. There was an hour wait for the museum but she has a reservation so we went right in. The place where we did the tasting had a table reserved for us and the flights poured and waiting.
