This experience was one of my highlights in Kyoto, I've had the chance with my friend to attend this amazing music moment, with artists that have been training since childhood playing instruments they love, they are so good! We also shared an unforgettable moment with the family over a tea ceremony. Do not hesitate to go, it's worth it!

It was held at a facility called Midori no Yakata in a corner of Umekoji Park. The tones of the koto and violin met to create a new and pleasant harmony. There were anime theme songs and game music, and it was a concert that people could enjoy. There was also a koto experience corner, and it was very good to see foreigners who were new to the craft looking happy.

A duo performance of koto and violin in a Japanese-style room overlooking the garden. There was also a musical instrument experience and I enjoyed it for 60 minutes. We also had matcha and sweets and had a relaxing and enjoyable time ♪

Ideal for beginners as foreign visitors or I have learned the basics and had a couple of time to ask too! maybe it will be a good experience even if it rains in Kyoto A rare and interesting event where you can watch and try playing the koto with a professional koto player. Not only did I enjoy the performance, but I was also warmly welcomed by the staff and had the rare opportunity to try playing the koto myself, an experience both precious and memorable. To finish, I was served matcha, making it a wonderful time filled with Japan’s beautiful culture and heartfelt hospitality.

The collaboration between the traditional Japanese koto and the Western violin was absolutely wonderful.Drinking matcha while listening to beautiful music created an unforgettable memory of Japan. Personally, being able to experience playing the koto, not just the matcha ceremony, was incredibly special.I believe this is something you can only experience here. I’d love to visit again with my family.
