Serena our guide was lovely, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The tour all ran on time and smoothly. Of course the painting itself- BEAUTIFUL.

Confusing how to find the tourguide. A lot of people had the same problem & the ticketing with printing email and than didn't have the bar code. Especially older couples don't understand technology. Last supper of course is impressive. Tourguide pointed out a lot of interesting information.

We booked a year in advance but it was a disappointing experience, not because of Leonardo's fresco but because of our guide Tiziana from Decathlon. 1. the starting time was not respected The meeting was at 1 pm, but she arrived at 1.15 and we entered the building at 1.45, after 45 minutes of waiting in the sun. 2. much of the tour is outside the building The tour means 15 minutes in front of the fresco and the rest of the time outside the building where she did not tell us anything about the fresco that we cannot find on Wikipedia. In fact, she knows much less about the Last Supper than we do. 3. Tiziana interrupted the explanations for every latecomer. There were 30 people in the group and many of them came after the meeting time. 4. The tour also included a visit to the beautiful church near the Cenacolo where the Last Supper is, but Tiziana did not seem to know this. We had to come later and visit the church on our own.

Unfortunately, if you don’t purchase your tickets directly through the museum for at least a third of the price way in advance, the only way to get to see The Last Supper is through a private tour. While the history was interesting , it was all a filler to finally get in 45 minutes after the start time to see the painting for the group’s 15 minute slot.
