The chef was great, just wish there was a little more to actually make for the macarons. The hands on portion is minimal.

Our family had a fun experience learning how to make Macarons at the Gallery Lafayette. Our instructor showed us how to make the shells and then we made our own fillings and were able to make 4 macrons to take home or enjoy at the event. They were very tasty! Looking forward to trying the recipe at home.

This was the one thing my son requested to do in Paris. The pace of this workshop and the amount of hands on experience was absolutely perfect for me and my son. The group worked together to make a batch of shells which we got to eat at the end of the class. The shells we used for our take home macarons were premade by the baker as we learned they need sufficient time to cool in the fridge before they’re filled (which makes sense). After we whipped up our batch of shells, we each made the filling with the ingredients that were ready in bowls at the table. This was helpful and we appreciated the efficiency of it. Our guide was so sweet and patient giving us a lot of encouragement and reminding us of the importance of not rushing through the delicate process of macaron making. Compared to many other tours I explored for making macarons, this one offered the best value for money. And since this tour is at Les Galaries Lafayette, you can go to the 7th floor terrace for amazing views of Paris and buy some gourmet macarons at Les Galaries while the 4 take home macarons cool (they need 3-hours in the fridge before you should eat them). On a side note, I highly recommend getting to Les Galaries early so you can jump the queues for the Glasswalk experience on the 3rd floor.

My 13 y/o daughter and I enjoyed this class very much! Our instructor, Joanna, was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of useful tips. My daughter was able to bake these recipes when we got home, without any issues. This was well worth it!

We had lots of fun learning how to make macarons and whisked our own ganache filling. You take home 4 delicious macarons plus the location itself is worth the visit anyway. Highly recommended!
